Destiny and scenarists are just so laughing at his face with this scene. Because what happens to Kyouya, episodes later, when he leaves?

Yeah. He gets surrounded by little kids and has to play with them (at least one of them : Yuu tricks him easily into Beybattling him) and cares about them.

The obsession isn’t one-sided. We always talk about Kyouya going in Africa to fight Ginga during the World Championships but Ginga is ready to lose Pegasus forever and to stop beyblading for him (despite knowing how it feel to lose his bey and being so hurt about it at the beginning of the season). He is just ready to sacrifice everything that matters to him for Kyouya. And his friends are so shocked about it.

Kyouya learned a valuable and too rare abillity: putting things into perspectives.

He grew up so much since the beginning of the first season, when he was just a bored and spoiled brat, who thinks he was the centre of the universe and that his trials (like losing against Ginga and jumping voluntarily into the Wolf Canyon) were the worst things that could happen in the whole world. Then he saw that some people have real problems (*cough* Ginga *cough*).
