#MFJ71 First page of Nick Gamsa’s review of “Theater of Operations: The Gulf Wars” a huge exhibition up at MoMA PS1 until March 1st 2020. Millennium Film Journal No. 71 was ready to go to press last week, beautifully designed by @shonamasarin. The title of the issue was to be CONFLICT. It would have been printed and released in mid-April. But mid-April will be an apex point of the COVID-19 crisis. And since the issue had been in preparation since mid-December, there was no mention, no acknowledgement of the pandemic that is affecting us all. So the MFJ editors decided to delay the issue and include it as part of a double-sized issue, Nos. 71/72, to publish later in 2020. We are soliciting contributions for the double issue, such as streaming film festival reviews and commentary, analysis of the particular impacts of the crisis on the moving image community at large, book reviews and other appropriate material that you propose. We’ll put excerpts from the postponed MFJ 71 on our website millenniumfilmjournal.com (linkinbio).
