Here is a sort of mini comic thing that was my other contribution to this zine-like surprise gift for @queenofliz4rds and @blackbarbooks as a thank you for all the content they have given us. (I am not 100% pleased with the pacing in this, I couldv’e rearranged the panels position and size to pace the reading of it to match the mood better, this feels a bit too abrupt, but I’m just... not that good at that yet haha.) This illustrates my favorite moment in blackbarbook’s story “My first one and only” (from chapter 14), where excellent usage of pre-established metaphors are used to deepen the impact of a word, creating such a hard hitting emotion for the reader. thank you for your hard work!

also @/everyone who follows me for my writing and are worried about My First One And Only don't be. I've already written like 15k words for that but between this and the Zine Piece that I am doing for @sexbomb_zine  I have been all over the place with writing/editing.

I just want to finish´both of these projects soon so I can write more. oTL

Being Friends with Artists

Hewo it me. I wanted to talk about something I've been thinking about for a really long time.

I'm in a lot of fandoms you see, and that also means I'm in a lot of discord servers. I'm not active in them, ever. Except one. The Friend Todoroki one. If you don't know what that is, look it up on tumblr and give it a read!

Friend Todoroki is My Hero Academia based and it's super amazing!

The discord is full of amazing people!!

I've met so many artists and writers and creative thinkers in this server than I ever have in my whole life. Everyone is so nice! The artist of the comic, Queen Nati is, how to say this, a queen!!!!! An amazing queen that I happily worship!!! She is so talented and amazing and nice and wow. She's just one of the many people I admire.

I won't talk about all of them individually in this post, but I want to mention Em as well! Em, or MEW is awesome too! She writes My First One and Only, which is now longer than the first Harry Potter novel~.

So talented. Everyone is so talented.

And even being associated with them is amazing.

It's like "you're this talented and amazing person, why are you even giving someone like me, a nobody, the time of day??"

God, they're all so amazing. I freaking worship all of them as my Gods.

It honestly makes me emotional when I think that these amazing people like me and enjoy my conversation. Getting recognized and acknowledged in their streams is beyond amazing.

Anyways, sorry to ramble. I'm just blown away that any of these people like me.

I am so happy to have friends like these.

Hello!! I am reading and loving " My first One and Only" but I have a question about the timeline. I mean, Kirishima does not has Unbreakable yet, so the story taked place before the intership arc and before the whole Bakus breakdown to Midoriya? Bc we start at valentines day that is on February, right? Or did you just put your own timeline there? I dunno if I missed something, but I got confused, could you enlighten me?

I’m freestyling a timeline in between the time between the aftermath of Kamino/ the dorms being a thing, but before they got their provisional licenses and the whole showdown/overhaul arc happens.

I try to keep things as “vague” timeline wise as I can to not spoil major plot-events and characters for those who only watch the anime. 

Thusly some really cool special attacks aren’t there and the internships aren’t there. I’m heavilly leaning into some of the character developement I know happened only in the manga at this point in time, so I vaguely reference some of the character’s more obscure emotional issues and backstories in the story to make sure that the fanfic will remain as timeless as possible based on the information I currently have from the manga.

The valentines day thing is not chronologically important at all for the setting of the story, only the kickstart of the plot. I’m trying to keep it as obscure as possible to make it age better for future readers.

I’m being consistently inconsistent. I hope this doesn’t ruin the entire fic for you!

is mfoao a prequel to friend todoroki?? i feel like it is in a way!!! maybe its just me but both works are really great!! keep up the great work (and art)!! <3

Yes, in a way is exactly it..

Mfoao and Friend Todoroki share a “universe”, but these two are very different works, Mfoao is a more serious romcom, while friend Todoroki is more of a pure-comedy.so think of it as a slightly disconnected prequel maybe? 

Like details might change, but the Kiribaku in FriendTodoroki and the Kiribaku in MFOAO are the same characters. They share the same level of communication and they feel the same way as they do in MFOAO just on a more solid and stable level. 

They’re basically MFOAO Kirishima and Bakugo with ~3 years of dating experience and a blackbelt in loving eachother. 

As for the rest of class 1-A they are more loosely translated into Friend Todoroki. Since we want to be able to give the ships funny/cute origin stories as we write more for friend Todoroki.

tl;dr: MFOAO is the canon in Friend Todoroki, unless friend Todoroki directly states otherwise.

Are you guys no longer doing the fanfic, my first and only?

The fanfiction is still a thing! It was a hectic week where I had to move to a new apartment and work on some other things, but the next update is already written, edited and it’s almost 8k long! 

The new chapter should be up either Monday or Tuesday, as soon as the art is done! Keep an eye out for a livestream notice on @queenofliz4rds​‘s channel! she plans to do the artwork for it live and once the art is complete I’ll update the fanfic! come hang out with us in the “countdown” to the update! 

Now that I have moved, the updates should go back to their normal fast-pace, sorry for the long wait! The fanfic still lives and it’s already longer than Harry Potter and the sorcerer’s stone! It’s officially a novel!
