Mind Games: Obsession

Freja's lips open to say something again, but she's interrupted by someone else speaking from the hallway. "That's where ${name} will be coming into play, from what I've been told."

*page_break ${dadn}."

Quinn greets him, though it's a little strained, as he walks in the door. He looks rough; definitely in desperate need for a good shave and a night's worth of sleep. "What do you mean?"

"Keeper ${surname}."

"Agent Ellingboe." ${dadn} nods to Freja as she also greets him before turning his full attention to Quinn. "I'm not sure, but I believe they're going to use ${name}'s abilities to their advantage, plus relocation and whatever else is planned."

"Yes-" Freja is again cut off, but this time it's from ${name} suddenly making noise.

Secret Project

I turn around as an incredibly deep voice sounds from behind us. A man stands in front of one of the tunnels just behind us, his skin darkly tanned and a dark cloth covers his face from the nose down. His eyes are almost black, and… [i]odd[/i] looking in a way I can't quite put my finger on. He's dressed in dark breeches and a long sleeved shirt that seems to billow around his torso, and both are tied with leather cords around his ankles and wrists respectively. Crow black hair pools around his shoulders, though the left side is braided away from his face.

Then I notice the scars. The parts of his skin that are left bare have burn scars either peppering them or in large splotches, altering his skin and its tone. Those, combined with his very silent composure… it's nearly frightening.

"Seth," Astra greets, though it's a little lukewarm. "The plan went off without a hitch, I believe."

"Yes… have any of the others made it back, however?" His eyes move over me in interest, until they reach my amulet, settled in the middle of my chest.

Dragon Pact

"You feel so much for an aimless soul, don't you?" Smoke pours out of his mouth, shrouding the area in it. Everything is hazy, blurred but you can breathe through it as if it isn't truly smoke. "Aimless?" You question. The comment confuses you. You're not aimless. You and Thane are heading to Nemir like he said. "You may have a destination, a goal for the time being, but you don't have a plan past that, do you?" He sighs, eyes too soft for a stranger. Though maybe not a true stranger. He's strange, certainly, but he knows more about you than he should, doesn't he? Certainly more than you know about him. "It's not even your plan, is it?" You stay quiet, unsure of what to say to that. "You follow him but why? You could make your own choices. You have the power to do so." His head tilts and his horns phase through the tree's dark, twisting branches. Smoke and shadow. Dark, stifling. You take a deep breath, trying to shake the feeling of oppressive darkness you feel. "He knows what he's doing." "Because he's your darling little guard?" "Because it's his [i]duty[/i]." You respond, hating the way the words feel on your tongue. You wish it was more but it isn't. "Most wouldn't damn themselves for their duty." His grin is wide, sharp, verging on the edge of terrifying as his [i]steaming[/i] tongue sweeps over his too sharp teeth. Despite the warm smoke pressing against your skin, the sight leaves you cold. [i]Too cold.[/i]

Nelroche

After what feels like hours of walking in silence, we finally exit the trees and come out on an open dirt road after dark. No pavement here, huh? I guess it makes sense if this dream really is an older, possibly fantasy world like it seems. I shake my head and notice that the road leads into a fairly large town visible by the light inside it further down the road but find three horses near Alys and Ozias. So [i]this[/i] is where they went.

Alys's sharp gaze finds me first. I think. I can't be sure if Ozias has seen me or not with that mask he wears. Alys's voice is high and sharp when she speaks. "What @{plural are|is} ${mcthey} doing here, Hadrian?"

"Coming with us. I do hope that's not a problem, Alys."

She scowls and turns away. "As long as you didn't force ${mcthem}."

Tiny update to MG:O added! It shows the first section of Chapter 4. There will be no more updates released until I finish Chapter 4 of TIT or MG:O completely OR the end of February comes!!! I hope yall enjoy!

Weekly Update for 22/1/21

Howdy, folks! Welcome back to the Weekly Update. Just as a small reminder, Faye and I are moving this Sunday so we may not respond much during the next week as we get settled in!

Faye doesn’t have much to report this week, they’ve been focused on switching Nelroche over to Twine which,,, takes some time, so be patient!

Mind Games: Obsession

So, as most of you know, MG:O’s third chapter was re-released this week as its rewrite finished! I’ve started Chapter 4 as well, it’s a little over 1,000 words so far and I’ve finished the intro scene and gotten the second started. Very exciting, very exciting.

The Iterrian Tribulations

I’ve gotten SO much done on TIT this week, it’s *insane*. It’s currently sitting at a little over 18,000 words, and it also has quite a few flirts AND there is some optional NSFW with one character! I have 4 more RO scenes to write then a scene with someone fun after, then I’ll be nearly done with the chapter and it’ll be out! That’ll probably take another 2-ish weeks.

I’m also going to release TIT on the forums at Chapter 4, given how much I’m getting done and how fast. When this occurs, I have to make TWO different demos, given I want to have a SFW thread for people to find it and a NSFW thread for people to read the NSFW!

ALSO don’t forget to do the polls both linked on the Tumblr AND on Nelroche n MG:O’s forum page! We’re gonna compile the data sometime next week!

Please tell me I'll still be able to call Blake an idiot and throw my shoe at Adontis in the MG:O rewrite? Those were hands down the best scenes from the game so far.

I haven’t added it in yet, but you can bet your ass you will AGAIN be able to call Blake an idiot AND throw shoes at Adontis. I would never deprive y’all of one of my favorite bits in MG:O bro!!!!!!

Weekly Update for 8/1/21

Oh, boy, here we are again FINALLY. Only took us, uh... a while, huh? But, anywho, welcome back to the weekly update, y’all!

Dragon Pact

Not much has been done on DP this week as Faye has been super focused on Nelroche!

Mind Games: Obsession

I also don’t have too much to report on MG: O, given the new demo just dropped this week; I’ve gotten about 1,300 words done on the new third chapter, but a lot of my focus has been on the Super Secret Project.

Nelroche

Faye has been focusing mainly on getting this new mini update going alongside some... Secret(tm) additions that’ll be added to Nelroche. The first and second chapters were merged, so now we have a new chapter one and two (previously three) going! Chapter 2 is currently sitting at 17,000, while the whole project is roughly 56,000.

Super Secret Project

This, beautiful, hunk of goodness I’m currently fixated on getting done is coming along quite nicely... and given that a lot of good AND bad shit have gone on this week, well... I’ll give y’all some information on it, I s’pose.

Genre: High fantasy, romance, mixed modern and less modern world state (including magic and replacing some structures with magical equivalents), supernatural

There will be five ROs: One RO who is genderswappable between man, trans woman, and genderqueer (prefers he/him); a cis woman; two cis men; and one who is demigirl/doesn’t really have a gender preference just prefers she/her.

Two-Three book series, and your choices in book one can drastically change how the other(s) go.

This story will be released here once I finish Chapter 3 (which I am a good chunk into). The current chapter word counts are as follows: Chapter 1, 10,329; Chapter 2, 4,639; and Chapter 3 is currently at 5,134.
