birthday blowout || sarah + yeonwoo
When Yeonwoo had created the sticky expanding powder, it had not been much of a spectacular creation. He hadn’t even really intended on making it; it was a chemical accident that had occurred while he was attempting to make a different sort of compound, which was simply supposed to be more like a jelly. Something had gone wrong though, and as usual, the result was less than awe-inspiring.
Or at least that’s what he’d thought at first. Thanks to Daehan's particularly interesting view on the subject matter, however, Yeonwoo began to see it’s merits in possible contributions of pranking wars. Which was almost better than what he’d planned in the first place.
The first test included the sticky expanding powder (which still needed a proper name, hmm) stuffed inside a balloon, which had been blown up to a considerable size and then taped to a cut-up, empty cereal box. The whole thing was then covered in icing and sprinkles and Yeonwoo went the extra mile to make it look super detailed and pretty for his friend's birthday party, so it would look like a cake. He knew his friend would appreciate a prank like this, it was something they pulled on each other quite frequently.
He was meeting quite a few friends there at the party and the idea was that the birthday boy would do the honors of cutting the cake and getting blasted by the goop, but what Yeonwoo was not expecting was someone else, namely Sarah, to cut it before anyone else was ready to eat cake. Yeonwoo was actually in the next room when he heard the loud POP! and went searching for his victim, who he would then laugh at.
Instead, his grin turned to horror as he entered the kitchen and saw Sarah and the exploded cake. "Oh fuck-" he cursed.
