Birthdays have always been just another day for you. Year after year. No more than well wishes from your family, an occasional ten bucks to ‘get yourself a coffee or something on the way to class’, and most certainly no gifts. None of that, ever since you turned twelve…because to them, ‘birthdays? they’re just another day. You’ve already celebrated plenty of birthdays’.
You board the bus, finding a seat in the back, one earbud plugged in while you watch the scenery change over and over until you got to your stop. It’s always been the same on school days- wake up, get ready for school, eat breakfast, take the bus, get to school.
Like always, you head for your locker to grab the book and items you needed for your first lesson before you even headed to homeroom. Here’s where things deviated from your routine. There was something in there that did not belong to you: something wrapped up, a gift— addressed to you. The card attached to it read: ‘I never wanted anything so much than to drown in your love and not feel your rain’
Your finger brushes the pen writing, flipping it open, ‘Happy Birthday — Rayane.’ Smiling to yourself, you grabbed a post it note and scribbled, ‘Thank you’. You shut your locker and headed to hers, folded the note and slid it into a slot. On your way to homeroom, you deliberately brushed shoulders with her and she went to her locker to check your note.
That’s how you two communicated in school, she was afraid— more of herself than others. At home, she’d text and call, and have shown up to spend time with you on several occasions. You liked hovering under the radar at school, no one knew except the two of you. It was private. Not a secret. Maybe a little. She was scared, but she loved you enough to do something about it.
Later, before lunch. You walked into your Chemistry class and there she was, with her two best friends in their usual seats in the back corner. She was checking her nails then had her phone in hand, her friends didn’t notice you but it wasn’t malicious. The teacher was late, so the class was slightly chatty. Your phone vibrates in your pocket as you slid into a desk next to Damian. He gives you a wave and smiled, sliding something across your desk. Your eyes fell on it- it was a bookmark that looked like a library checkout card. “Just a lil something for your birthday.” He said, cheeky grin on his face as always.
“Thanks, Damian.”
Damian was your first ever friend in high school, a dramatic, yet comforting and stable presence in your orbit for the last few years. Janis was his ride or die, they’ve known each other since 2009. But, the artist adored you just as much and loved being your friend. Your circle was small at school, but it wasn’t where Regina came into your life. Though yes, she was the undefeated queen bee here at North Shore.
You met her at the book club held by a local library. Free of her usual pink-heavy get up and fierce look, you laid your eyes on someone dressed in a dark green cable crew sweater, comfy jeans and a pair of New Balances that went perfectly with her outfit. Her hair was tied up in a high ponytail, flyaways framed her face perfectly. She also wore metal-rimmed glasses and small hooped earrings.
The moment you two locked eyes, the recognition was clear. But none of you brought it up. “I’m Rayane.”
You knew that. It was Regina’s middle name. But there was no remark, no teasing. You just extended your hand and shook hers, “y/n.”
She smiled back at you. And it took all of three seconds for whatever lingering notions you had of her to vanish. She was neither scary nor mean. But she was still undeniably Regina- put together, and carried herself with such confidence and poise. You were quickly enamoured, falling head over heels for the gorgeous blonde by the end of the book club session. From then on, you saw her week after week, you saw how different she was- like the way she was at school was just a mask to keep herself safe. You began to understand her, and the conversations you had with her slowly deviated from the books in hand. But to the many different little things that made up who you two were as people. Phone numbers were soon exchanged, and then began the texts. Initially occasional book recommendations and questions about your thoughts on a certain book you two had read. Slowly, she warmed up more to you and started talking to you on the phone. Then, it became multiple calls a week to talk. Just to talk. She said she wanted to hear your voice. You blushed. She doesn’t tease of course, she couldn’t see it.
You’d meet her at coffee shops and parks an hour outside of the neighbourhood you both lived in, or she’d meet you at your house— where you’d both have privacy. Where she didn’t have to pretend. But you two made it work.
‘Don’t thank me too soon. Hope you like your gift 😉’ She texted
‘I don’t doubt it’ You replied and quickly put your phone away.
Before lunch, you grabbed your gift from your locker, got lunch from the cafeteria and made a beeline for the library. You found a quiet, cozy armchair and settled in, putting your sandwich and bottle of water down on the little table in front of you and opened up the gift that you had tucked under your arm. Catcher in the Rye, first book club edition. An edition you’ve once mentioned in passing, and have been actively searching for to no avail. And now, here it was, right in front of you. Real. Yours.
Tears welled anyway despite your attempt of not wanting to cry. You texted Regina, ‘I love it.’ and ‘Thank you’
All she replied with? Was, ‘❤️’
You set the book aside, ate your lunch, and read it until you got another text from her telling you to meet her after school near her car.
Time passed like molasses. Slow. So slow.
When the final bell let out, you exited the school and your eyes searched for her car. She was already in the driver’s seat. You moved quick, winding through the crowd of students and successfully climbing in the front passenger seat. Regina was already driving while you secured your seatbelt, much rather getting out of an area where everyone knew everyone and always had shit to say.
————
You wound up in her home, sitting at the kitchen island watching her cook up a late lunch. The conversation flowed easily, unending. The room was starting to smell of garlic and the light smell of the cream based pasta sauce. “Didn’t know you could cook.”
She chuckled, turned around, “Now you do. Try this.” She held a wooden spoon with the sauce on it next to your lips. You opened your mouth, she tipped the spoon. You hummed, “Good.” She grinned, watching you place your backpack in your lap, open it and take out your new book. “This—”
“Is finally yours.” She smiled.
“Is expensive.” You corrected.
“It’s for you, I saved up.” She turned down the heat on the stove and approached you, “It’s yours, okay?” Regina cupped your face, pressing her lips to yours, tender and grounding. “It’s your birthday. Enjoy it.”
You blushed, “I am enjoying it. Thanks to you.”
The tiniest of smirks tugged at her lips, she leaned in again and you gave her an even eagerer nod. She kissed you deeper this time, and pulling away, “I love you.”
Your heart thrums faster, you exhale sharply, chuckling, “I love you too.”
“No more driving thirty minutes, an hour. No more sneaky business. I want to show you off. I want to just…exist. I don’t care what they think. I love you, and you love me- that’s all I need to know. I don’t care about the phoniness of some people, I don’t care if they look, nothing matters more than having you with me.”
You sniffled, swallowing thickly, cupping her cheek. You nodded, and then kissed her, “Okay. Let’s just exist- for us.”
She agreed, “For us.”

Requested! Sorry this took awhile🧍🏻♀️Part 2 of ‘She will be loved’.
“Well, you also did more than that, but…anything for you, eh?” Your fingers traced along her arm. Regina chuckles, “Oh, I’m just as shocked as you are. Sorry about the mess.”
“I’m not sorry, Reg. They’re just sheets.” You laughed, rubbing her back. “You wanna take a shower? Freshen up?”
“That sounds nice, sure.”
“Alright.” You got up first, then pulled her up, “Let’s go.” She smacks you on the ass while you walk ahead of her, entering the ensuite bathroom first. You gasped, “Regina.”
“I think, it’s only fair that you get your turn too now.” She whispers into your ear, sending a chill down your back. “Do you want that, baby girl?”
————
With your eyes shut, you took a deep breath as an attempt to calm yourself down. But Regina’s hand was already caressing your body, specifically your lower back as you stood next to her. She hummed, turning to look at you fully. You looked back at her just as shy as you were tempted. Regina saw this coming, she knew you wouldn’t be able to resist…she knew she’d be able to have the upper hand once you were done with her. She loved returning the favour. Regina stood closer to you, body flush against yours, an arm around you. Her face was merely a few inches away from your own…her gaze mesmerising you instantly. A breath was caught in your throat as you gave her a very eager nod of your head. Your girlfriend grinned, capturing your lips into her own victoriously. And so…a very handsy shower followed, getting you all riled up and ready for her, no matter what she had in store for you.
Any words or thoughts you had were very quickly gone by the time you two returned to her bed. Practically stumbling backwards, she nearly pinned you down as she expertly straddled you before starting a sloppy makeout. “Are you gonna be so quiet all evening, baby?” Regina asked, the laugh that followed was low, and slightly menacing. Which to her knowledge majorly turned you on. She smirked, breaking away from your lips. You whined, unhappy about it. She then proceeded to climb off you and told you to wait. You exhaled harshly in frustration while you watched her get off the bed. Like you, she wasn’t wearing anything, so while she walked over to your closet, getting a different strap and putting that on herself…you watched her the way she moved around so elegantly, how her hair fell on her shoulders. Then, your eyes fell on her bare chest…just ogling. You couldn’t help it, and as if she read your mind, you saw her face herself towards you while putting the harness on.
“Like what you see, don’t you?”
You bite back a scoff, not wanting to be a brat and have her smack you in a few minutes. “Answer me.” She said it sweetly, but you just knew she meant it another way, “Do you like what you see?”
You averted your eyes on reflex, nodding your head, “Yeah.”
She’d put the harness on, now walking closer to you. Regina doesn’t straddle you again, but instead told you to straddle her. She watched you closely while holding near the bottom of the length. “You know what to do, sit on it.” She ordered, voice barely audible but tone made your head spin. You felt like you were in a daze, going on autopilot. Sitting still on the silicone shaft was the easy part, the real suffering came once she reached forward and began to rub your clit. You flinched, biting on your lip to muffle any possible noises. Regina glared at you, “Don’t hold back.”
“Okay.” You gulped.
“Baby…shift yourself. Let me get a tit in my mouth, hm?’ Her free hand caresses your back intentionally. And so you did, you moved into a slightly different position, arms folded and resting on the top of your bedframe which allowed your chest to be pressed against her face. You feel her smiling, then wrapping her lips around a teat. A breathy moan flies out your mouth, and when you felt her tongue swirling around the tip her hands held onto your hips on either side. You took that as a cue from her to start riding the silicone. It didn’t take you long to find a rhythm, but it was hard as shit having to keep going while she devoured your breast. It was distracting, and your legs were going weak. Regina didn’t let you stop yet, and you didn’t want to either, it felt amazing. Despite her aloofness that clearly did its work in arousing you, Regina knew exactly when she had to give you a little…support. She held your hips and helped you continue rut them against her own, each thrust somehow reaching deeper and deeper. You grew tighter and tighter, slick leaking into her lap as continued to suck at your tit. You were just about as content as you could get. The pleasure was about to peak, but she lifted you off of her abruptly, mouth detaching from you.
You nearly cried, desperate to come. Regina cooed at you, “Poor thing…you’re such a needy little slut for me, aren’t you, princess?”
Your breath hitched and your eyes stung, but you felt obliged to comply, you liked it. This attitude and teasing, it helped. So much. And duh, Regina knew it. Because here she was, just using her words while she watched you squirm, whine and leak. Watching you lose your mind, in dire need of her. So close, yet easily so far away too if she wanted to drag it out for you.
There you laid on your back with your legs wide open, lower lips red and swollen, like they were calling her name…so inviting, so tempting, so irresistible. Her heart couldn’t not melt at the sight of those big doe eyes of yours, looking at her as a silent plead.
She hummed, “Alright, baby. I’m back.” Regina laughed lightly, positioning herself as she dragged the shaft along your glistening folds. You whimpered, feeling yourself throbbing against it. “Are you ready?” She murmured.
You nodded, quickly. “Say please.” Her signature smirk appeared again.
“God, please, please—” You nearly choked on a sob, breathing heavily. Before you even finished your sentence, she was satisfied and swiftly rammed into you, making you moan aloud.
“Oh, you’re always taking me so well, aren’t you?” She cooed, hands starting to grab your tits as she kept at her pace, thrusting into you. “And why do you take me so well, baby?”
Tears were stinging your eyes, the pleasure was rapidly rising again. Your hearing starts to get muffled, and all you could hear now was your racing heart. “Why?”
“I’m a good girl.” You managed, “Oh— fuck— fuck, Regina—”
“That’s right. You’re my good girl, aren’t you, y/n?” Her hands let go off your breasts but one hand quickly slapped your tits the next second, you cursed out loud. Regina then laid flat on you but still continued fucking you with the strap, hungrily kissing you. But there was still some gentleness to it making your heart flutter. You smiled in bliss, the coil in your core starts to wind up to a breaking point. Every single bit of noise that came out from your mouth was instantly swallowed by hers yet somehow…still heard.
Feeling your hand clawing at her back, followed by an especially high pitched cry of her name, Regina told you, “You gonna come, baby? So pathetic…didn’t take you as long as we thought, hm?”
You babbled incoherently, but said, “Please? Please— I need—”
She smiled, mostly to herself, because she was watching your face while you tried to hold it, tried to keep it together. She stopped moving, and you almost threw a fit. But she was also fast, pulling out and replacing the thick silicone shaft with her own fingers. Repeatedly slamming into your pussy and hitting your clit at the same time. When her mouth took the place, she waved her fingers by your slightly parted lips. You took them into your mouth with no complaints while your tongue now drove you nuts, back arching off the mattress and pushing yourself closer to her. You would’ve bit her fingers if your climax didn’t start and successfully distracted you instead.
Your entire body trembled as her free hand stayed on your inner thigh, caressing it in a soothing manner, “Good girl, good girl…you’re okay, love. Hey.” She continued speaking softly, “Hey, look at me.”
You whined but did so. “You alright?” She asked, slowly moving to lay next to you.
You murmured, “Yeah.” Regina held your face in her hand, pressing a kiss to your lips, “You sure? Did I hurt you?”
You shook your head, “No. But uh, I’ll be sore because that thing is— huge.”
Regina chuckled, holding you close. You snuggled up against her, paying attention to the steady beat of her heart.
“…I’m sleepy.”
“That’s alright, just close your eyes and rest.” She told you.
“…Need to shower again.” You grumbled.
“Later.” She replied, “Close your eyes. Go to sleep.”
“Okay.” You mumbled, smiling contently, sleepiness taking over you. “Can we get ice cream later?”

Regina crushes hard, but her pride causes her not to make a move until she feels a threat and can’t get what she wants
- w.c: 1.5k
Was junior year really the peak of the high school experience? For the first time in Regina George’s life…she wasn’t the centre of attention, she wasn’t the talk of the school, she didn’t feel like the Apex Predator. Regina felt threatened.
“Gretchen, who is that?” Regina subtly turned her head to the girl to ask.
“She’s new. y/n. So far, everyone’s been saying she’s really hot and I—”
“If the next word that comes out of your mouth is ‘agree’, you can feel free to go sit with the art freaks. She’s mediocre.”
“No, she’s not mediocre.” Gretchen continued, “I stand by that. What? That’s a fact.”
Regina rolled her eyes, slamming her locker shut. “Let’s go.” Regina said flatly. Karen followed immediately, Gretchen took a second, distracted by the new student. You.
You caught her gaze for a second, her eyes went wide and she scampered away on the tail of the tall blonde.
Throughout the day, Regina couldn’t figure out if she was impressed or repulsed by the amount of attention you were getting. She saw nearly everyone that managed to go up to you to ask you out. Why? You had almost every single class of yours with her. Regina liked a challenge, so much so that she was going to go up to you to ask you out herself just so that you would say yes to her first. Possibly.
Whenever you talked to anyone. A student, a teacher…Regina’s ears would perk up. She found herself intrigued— no, in love with the accent you had. But, she was simply in denial. No, Regina George would never admit that to anyone, not even herself.
You, however, couldn’t be more unbothered by the attention. You could usually see through people, if they were genuinely being nice or just faking it so you’d befriend them. That was why you didn’t even entertain Regina’s staring. The girls that hung out with her were nice, though. You had a class together with them and got grouped up with them for a project already.
And then came lunch. It was chaos, all the students chatting, playing instruments, laughing at jokes. Somehow, you were used to it. The noise got all tuned out, and you just focused on eating your lunch alone. Karen and Gretchen invited you to sit with them, but you declined their offer. You didn’t want to be at the same table as Regina. Not when it felt like she’d been glaring at you practically all day. You didn’t want any part of that. After school, you waited outside the gym for Karen and Gretchen. The three of you were going to be starting work on the project this afternoon.
“Oh, hi!” Gretchen walked out from the gym first, Karen was right behind her. “Hi.” Karen greeted with a little laugh at the end. “How was your first day here?” Gretchen asked while you all walked to the parking lot.
“It was pretty good, actually. But Regina is getting annoying because why is she staring all the time like she’s a cat whose tail I stepped on?”
“She’s…like that. Don’t mind her.”
“Clearly.” You scoffed, getting into the backseat while Karen sat in the front with Gretchen.
“She can be nice.” Karen chimed in.
“Sure.” You almost laughed, “I’ll believe it when I see it.”
“Anyway, any suggestions on what we could do for the Chemistry project? Lewis said we can basically do anything as long as we can explain it and make sense. It’s like 25% of our grade.”
“We could probably Google for some ideas, choose the one we like the most.” You shrugged.
“True, true. Shouldn’t be too hard to complete, right?”
You spent a good part of the afternoon at Gretchen’s. The project was straightforward, and really easy to complete. And, it was completed by the time you all parted ways. You ended your day with two new friends, so that was the good part— well other than finishing a project well ahead of time.
Over the next week, you got to meet more people. And the more you got to know them, the more you got to know about Regina. So far, it was mostly negative. “Regina asked for your number.”
“What?” You squinted, “Gretch, please don’t tell me you gave it to her.”
“No, but I was scrolling on Insta, and your post was on my home page. She followed you.”
“Well, my page is public, so whatever.”
As you said that, your phone screen lit up. And it was none other than Regina— sliding into your DMs. Okay, you could admit, she was attractive. But if she wasn’t a good person, you sure as heck wouldn’t want to be associated with someone like that. You detested her ‘worship me or leave’ type of attitude.
Besides that, the first half of your school day was pretty calm. Once lunch rolled around, you were ready to have some food. But, someone grabbed your arm. “I need to talk to you.”
“No, Regina.”
“I just need three minutes.” She continued.
“Fine, make it count.” You stopped off at the side of the hallway, watching the students filtering out of the hallway to the cafeteria. All of them eager for lunch, but highly interested in the fact that Regina was finally talking to you.
“Did Gretchen ask you out?”
“I knew it.” You said with a shrug, “Even if she did, it’s none of your business, really. I haven’t even talked to you once until now. So far, it hasn't been a great first impression.”
“I’m sorry. I know you’ve heard a lot about me, but it’s complicated. I’m trying to change, but that’s… not what I wanted to talk to you about. Truth is, since you got here, I’ve been intimidated because I’m used to being the centre of attention. I know, sucks of me. But also, among the things you heard about me. I know you’ve heard that I’m a lesbian. That’s the one truth I want to remain, the rest? I want to change that.”
“Your point?”
“It’s— it’s been hard for me to accept that I like girls. And you come in here, looking all tall and perfect and me being scared of being like everyone else, I couldn’t admit that I was crushing on you too.”
“Now I’m impressed. Took you sooner than I thought you would to be honest than keep up with the glaring. This is more like it.”
Regina smirked and it turned into a smile, a genuine smile, “See you around, cariño.”
You squinted, watching as she turned on her heel to leave, chuckling. She saw you and laughed too. See, this was what you wanted. To see the real her than the facade she was putting on. There was no point in that, but this? Having actual conversations? It felt good to have that, not just polite greetings and check-ins.
You saw her in your next class and was paired up, in the name of fate because the random name generator come up with her name and yours. For the first time since you started school here, you were actually glad to be in the same room as Regina, because she wasn’t pretending anymore. It was less draining for you and for her.
“Buenas.” Regina smiled softly and slid into the desk to you.
“You don’t have to try to impress me, George.” You chuckled over your words.
“Impress you? I’m just glad I have someone to practice my Spanish on.” She continued with that signature smirk on her face. Only this time, it felt a bit more like a tease than the usual intimidation, “Spent my first five years in Spain, came here and I eventually sucked at it. Maybe now I won’t have to worry about flunking out of Spanish class.”
“Is this your tricky way of asking me to tutor you? Have you learnt nothing from the first time you talked to me?”
“I was not planning to ask you to tutor me, but since you’ve put that on the table…can you?”
“I can.” You shrugged, “But would I?”
“Come on! What do I have to do? Pay you to teach me?”
“Tempting.” You went along with it, “Or…you could just buy me a coffee or something.”
“And are you just telling me how I can repay you for agreeing to tutor me or trying to ask me out on a date?”
“Take it as you please.” You answered calmly, “You never know what’ll happen, Regina.”
“Huh.” Regina nodded slowly, “Claro.”
Your lips tugged into a bit of a smirk, you glance at her.
“So you’ll tutor me, right…?”
“Ay, yes, Regina. I will tutor you!” You laughed.
“Great.” She smiled back, “Thanks, cariño.”
“A heads up on the nicknames would be nice.” You joked, “Are you planning on using them on me all the time from now on?”
“Take it as you please, y/n.” She sighed, “I heard never know what will happen, after all.”

“You can speak of anger and doubts
Your fears and freak outs and I'll hold it
You can share your so called shame filled accounts
Of times in your life and I won't judge it”
Last night, you were on the phone with Regina and something seemed off so you gave her a video call. You were right, because she told you something had happened between her and her Mom. Which unfortunately wasn’t unusual, but so infuriating because you knew what happened. It was usually one of three things— what she ate, what she wore or her grades. Of course, those were the main…quote-unquote, problems. There were always more issues in June’s opinion than meets the eye.
“Do you wanna talk about it?”
She looks at you, then away, fiddling with the hem of her shirt.
“Regina.” You insisted.
“No, I don’t. Not now, and not over a FaceTime call.”
“Okay.” You agreed, “Let me know when you’re ready. If you want to, I’ll come over, or I can pick you up.”
“Not tonight, I just— I just need to sleep this one off. I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?”
The lack of a nickname addressing you at the end? This was one of her tells that she really wasn’t in the mood, or had the energy to talk. She needed alone time, to calm down and get rest. So you let her off the hook— you said good night to her and hung up. “Good night, I love you.” You said, smiling softly. She forced a smile, “Night.”
“See you tomorrow. I’ll pick you up at 7:15.”
You were expecting school to be a little rough, and you were right. She was expecting the same too. “G, why do you always get cheese fries? The other options are not all bad.”
“Just not feeling those options, Gretch.”
Well, it was a genuine question. The school food was great here compared to what you had at your old school.
“Okay.” Gretchen stopped asking and went back to chatting with Karen. Meanwhile, Regina’s brows were knit together. She seemed to be thinking, but then also…started to seem like she was in distress. “Regina.” You said quietly, looking at her.
She took a deep breath, “I’m fine.” You didn’t buy it, she was already in a bit of a…bad mood after yesterday. Every little interaction like that, it only seemed to push her closer and closer to a breakdown. “I’ll be okay, y/n.” She insisted, “I got this.” No one else at the table noticed. Not Karen, not Gretchen…just you. Her voice was quivering, her eyes— shifty, and glossy. She wasn’t okay. “Do you wanna go home?”
“Home?” She bites back a scoff, “No, thanks.”
“To mine?” You clarified.
“No.” Regina shook her head, she went back to eating her food. You couldn’t help it but keep an eye on her. Why was it so damn hard for her to accept any help? To open up? To you of all people?
After lunch, there were three more classes left. You didn’t have the last two with her so you couldn’t exactly make sure she was alright. You could only hope.
“I’ll meet you at your locker after the last bell. okay?” You pecked her cheek.
“Okay, baby.” She smiles softly, then evidently biting the inside of her cheek before she turned to leave. You usually had no problem being away from her but when things got tough, you hated that. You would spend all day, everyday with her if you could. “Hey.” You hear Regina behind you as she tapped your shoulder. Turning around to face her, your greet, “Hi. Let’s go?”
She nodded silently as then took her hand in yours and walked out of school with her. Regina sits in the front with you, like she always does. Except she was just sitting there and staring into space— another bad thing. You had to get her out of that god awful place in her mind.
“Regina, you know this. We gotta talk about it.”
“What’s there that you don’t already know?” She asked, defeated.
You shut your bedroom door, gesturing for Regina to sit down. She does, letting out a sigh as she looked up at you. Her gaze follows you as you moved towards her and sat down in the spot beside her. “I’ll be fine, you know. Always happens, I just need to deal with it until it blows over.”
“What happened, Reg?”
She wanted to scoff but bit back, “Well, you know my mom.”
Of course.
“It’s the same thing, every time, y/n.” Regina replied through gritted teeth, the annoyance within her bubbling up to the surface. “Everytime. ‘Regina, maybe you shouldn’t wear that. It’s too tight, it doesn’t look good.’, ‘Regina, leave the cupcakes alone. You’ve had enough food for the day. We gotta watch what we eat’, ‘Regina, have you worked out today?’ I am so sick of it.”
You gazed into her eyes as she revealed all of that and more to you. “She’s been like this my whole life. Why am I still not used to it? Why am I still listening to what she says? I know it’s no good for me, but I just— I can’t stop thinking about what she’s been feeding my mind for the last eighteen years.”
You grabbed her hands and held them in yours, giving them a squeeze. Tears were starting to fall from her eyes…she was blinking profusely, trying to get rid of them, flustered. “It’s okay.” You assured.
She shook her head, sniffling.
“Regina.” You repeated, “It’s okay. Let it out. All of it.”
“When I was a kid, she used to make me finish my plate no matter what.” Regina exhaled shakily, “Then when I got older, I listened to my body, you know? I stopped eating when I was full but she’d tell me I was wasting food if I threw out what was left on my plate. I didn’t want her to get mad, so as pissed as I was, I finished my plate. I was pretty active, so it didn’t really affect me. Middle school, puberty happened. My body changed.”
Wiping away her tears quickly, she continued, “And I always held more weight somehow. Well then, you know what. My eating habits got bad and I’d go days at a time without eating. Then it was the opposite. Now I’ve just been trying to heal from all of that but she’s been making it hell for me and sometimes I cannot do anything but feel like shit for a few days then get back to normal. We’ve been together almost a year, we’re off to college next year. We’re going to be adults but I’m still plagued by childhood problems. It’s ridiculous.”
“It’s not ridiculous.” You told her, leaning down to catch her gaze, “It’s not. You’ve been putting in a lot of effort to get better and anyone would be stupid to not see that.”
“Really?” She scoffs, “Even when I have days where I literally do nothing but cry about what she’s told me years ago, or do even worse things, because of her?”
“Yeah. Even then. It takes a lot of strength and courage to push through all that, and pick yourself back up. Which you do, every single time no matter how hard it gets.”
Her frame seemed less tense by the time she stopped talking. With your thumb brushing over her knuckles, you said, “Regina, I need you to remember that I’ll always be here for you. Not just for the good things, for anything. Tough, sad, infuriating. Anything at all. You are not alone. I’m your partner.”
She looks at you, tears welling up in her eyes again.
“I know it’s hard, I know why so you don’t have to keep explaining yourself. And I know it seems like I’m offering nothing but companionship. But that’s sort of what a partner is. I’m here, to keep you company. No matter what life throws at you.”
Another deep sigh falls from her lips before she goes, “Thank you.”
“I love you.”
A pink hue tinted her tear-stain cheek as she tried to hide a smile. “I love you so much.” You added on.
“I love you too.” She squeezed your hand in return.
“And you know I’d do anything for you.” You smiled while your hand rested on her thigh.
————
Regina tensed up slightly at that touch. A harsh exhale was heard from her as you smirked to yourself. “Anything…” Your finger traced her pale skin. You looked up, meeting her eyes once again. Regina had that look, she wanted this. She wanted you. “To prove it.”
“Do you want me to make you feel good, hm?” Your hand relocated onto her cheek, cupping her face. Like a switch has flipped, she immediately gave in to the temptation and nodded eagerly. Her eyes closed and you leaned in to capture her lips into your own. Fleeting kisses were swiftly followed by longer kisses…ones of desire. A whine slips from her mouth in the midst, sending a rush of heat that pooled between your own thighs. You’d back her up against the headboard, she sat with her legs naturally spread open while you straddled her, your knees on either side of her hips. You hands were grabbing her face, lips having never left hers since they latched on several minutes prior.
Regina whimpers this time. You chuckled, “You want more?” It was a little amusing to see her reduced to nothing but meek little noises when under your control. You loved it though, having slightly more dominance over her than typical. And well? She loves being beneath you, that’s for sure. Her head rolls back on reflex, inviting you to work her neck over. And expectedly, when you’ve hit a certain little spot, you’ve earned your first moan. Smiling to yourself, you continued your action until she got louder and squirmier. “Fuck.” She cursed.
Your hand moves down south, grabbing a handful of her breast without having to look. Regina panted, the air right by your ear tickled you and sent a shiver down your spine.
“Take it off.” She grumbled.
“As you wish, baby.” You smirked, reaching back underneath her shirt and unclipping her bra before you detach yourself from her and removed her shirt then got the bra out of the way. Your lips resume its work along her neck, your fingers play with her tit on one hand. You tug on the teat, and she gives you a pretty high pitched moan. “Does that feel good, honey?”
“Yeah—” She says, you didn’t even let her finish that word before you pinched that hardening tip between your fingers. “Shit.” You climb off her, pulling her pants down on the way after getting a hurried nod of approval from her. Settling yourself down between her legs on the mattress, you wasted no time and ran your tongue up and down her slit. Already, she was breathing heavily and you saw her groping her own tits for more stimulation.
“Don’t be shy, now.” You chuckled, thumb moving to rub her clit at the same time your mouth worked. Regina flinches, a muffled noise comes from her. “Don’t hold back, Regina.” Your free hand massaged her thigh, “I want to hear you, baby. I wanna hear how good I’m making you feel.”
The strokes of your tongue quickened, becoming firmer and more purposeful. Your hand on her clit then shifts and you instead slide two fingers inside her. Regina gasps, and flinches. Her leg moves out of position slightly but it remained that way, her body gradually getting overcome by increasing pleasure. You two digits pumped in and out of her at a leisurely but consistent pace, making sure you hit her g-spot everytime. That, sends a shock through her body without fail, making her head spin in pleasure. You feel her fingers combing through your hair roughly, keeping your head in place. Your brows were raised briefly but you carried on, “Fuck, right there— right there—” Regina whimpered, strained. “Don’t stop—”
“Mmkay, baby.” You hummed, keeping at this exact pace and place for awhile. You feel her wetness on your chin, but you couldn’t care less. You were lost in the moment, feeling her writhing beneath you, hearing her making all those noises for you. You were drawn to her like moths to a flame, your only priority now was making her feel good and making her come, worshipping this beautiful body of hers. Worshipping every single inch of her.
“You’re so beautiful.” Your mouth and fingers left her entirely, then you clambered back up to meet her face. “You’re my beautiful girl, aren’t you, Regina?” Brushing her cheek, you gave her a smile as you broke away from the kiss. You pulled her down carefully so she now laid on her back, you reattach your lips to the spot on her neck and started to kiss your way downwards…covering every bit of her exposed skin with a smooch. “Fuck—” She whined, “F—I need you, I need you. y/n—”
“Answer the question, Regina.” You smirked, fondling her tits while hovering over her. She kept quiet so you grabbed at the flesh harder, forcing the lewd noises out of her mouth, followed by impatient nods, “Y—yes— yes— oh, fuck—”
“I’ll be right back.” Kissing her once more, you got off her and then the bed.
“Baby, come on.” She grumbled.
“Just getting the strap, babe.” You winked, “Be patient~”
Regina exhales exasperatedly, looking at you while you walk to your closet and put on the harness behind its door. You’ve gotten her all hot and bothered already and you were absolutely enjoying yourself at this moment. “Open up, baby.” You tapped her thigh and she did as you told her to. Dragging the tip of the shaft along her throbbing cunt, the whining and whimpering from her resumes. “Aw.” You teased, “Are you ready, darling?”
“Yes— yes— oh my God…” She swallowed thickly, nodding her head while she kept looking at you. She knew you would ask for eye contact, so she did it first.
“Please, do it, please.” Regina pleaded desperately.
“Oh, good girl.” You smiled cheekily, lining up the tip of the shaft with her entrance. You were swift, pushing into her before she could say anything. All you heard was a low moan when you entered her and gradually bottomed out. “You okay, baby?”
“Yeah, yeah, I am.” She replied in a whisper, unintentionally whimpering at the end. You retracted and pushed into her more forcefully, a whimper just erupts from her throat like that. Hearing her just spurs you on, you went faster and faster, plus her noises matched up with your movements. It quite literally feels as though you were ascending into a whole new dimension. The noise of both your skin hitting each other’s, combined with the wetness? Whatever it was, it was obscene and had you weak in the knees. But, you persisted. Your hand was on her knee, pushing that leg of hers up as you continued railing to her. She was babbling…curse words, your name, incoherent noises. Goddamn. Her mind was one clouded mess, miles away by now.
When Regina’s back arched off the mattress, she exclaimed, “Oh, fuck!”
You looked at her, slightly worried, “You okay? Do you want me to stop?”
“No, no, no, no, no, no.” She gasped, “Don’t— don’t stop. That feels so fucking good, baby. Keep going— I’m so close— so close—”
“Alright~” You smiled, relieved and eager, “Don’t hold back, Regina.” You resumed your consistent motion of impaling her, watching her face contort, watching her eyes roll to the back of her head. “Fuck, fuck, fuck…” She babbled in a daze. “Let it all go, Reg. Let it all go.”
“God, you’re insane…” She panted, breathless.
“You’re the one gushing now and I’m barely doing anything anymore.” You retorted.
“God, keep going.”
“What?”
“I want more, keep going.” Her voice was airy, soft. “Keep going?”
You nodded, giving her what she wanted and completely disregarding the state of your sheets. “Oh, you’re so hot, baby.”
“Fuck’s sake.” Regina chewed on her lower lip, “I— I need your mouth— God, fuck—”
Once again, you went along with her happily, pulling out of her then promptly diving back into her cunt, tasting every last drop of her. And yet, she just kept spilling into your mouth. At this point? You couldn’t care less if you drowned. “Damn.” You chuckled, “How far can you go?”
“Push me.” She ordered.
“Well, since you asked…” You shoved your fingers back inside her, assaulting her sensitive spot while lapping her up without complaints.
Somehow, her pitch got higher, making you giddy. You feel her tightening around your fingers rapidly, and you kept going to push her over the edge again. She came, and she came hard. She even backed away a little, so you immediately stopped. That was it, she didn’t want more and you knew. It’d been discussed— if she backs away like that, you’d stopped.
With a tentative hand on her thigh, you shushed her, trying to help her find her breath again. “You’re okay, I got you. You’re okay.”
She nodded, “I know, I know. Oh— my God, I love you.” Hiding her face in her hands to hide the blushing, you brushed her hands away when you crawled back up to lay down next to her. “Look at me.” You held her face in your hand, pressing a soft kiss to her lips. She does, and you continue, “I love you. sometimes your mind’s gonna try to convince you otherwise…but, I really, really do. I love you so fucking much and I never want you to forget that.”
“After all of that? I won’t ever be able to get you out of my mind.” She jokes, her usual smirk on her face.
“I mean it. I love everything about you, every little bit of you. Just like you do me. You are perfect the way you are.”
Regina kisses you back, snuggling closer to you. “I know you do, and I promise. No more of that ‘keeping things to myself’ next time…I’ll try my best to talk about it, with you, or with a therapist.”
“And if you ever need to get away from your house, please don’t hesitate to come over to my place. Please. Come over here yourself, or call me, or text me. Anything.”
“Roger that.” She smiled just slightly, which turned into a smirk. “Also, you are freakishly good at whatever that was. Never came this hard in my life.”

You were rudely awakened by the sound of your alarm clock at six a.m. sharp. You slapped the screen to turn it off, but you still hadn’t gotten out of bed. Your head kills, your limbs ached and felt so heavy, you could barely move them without feeling like you were going to sob. You dozed off, only to be woken up by your second alarm fifteen minutes later. Finally, you dragged yourself out of bed and to the bathroom to freshen up. You could barely open your eyes, even by the time you were out on your porch with your backpack on your shoulder waiting for Regina to come and pick you up.
You leaned against the pillar, hand in your pocket holding your phone in the meantime. You snapped out of your trance when you heard a car honk in front of you. Blinking profusely then squinting to focus, you realised it was Regina. “Hey.” Regina smiled when she saw you but her face very quickly fell when you got closer and into the front passenger side with her. “Are you alright?”
“Just tired.” You mumbled. Your eyes screwed shut for a moment when you felt that throbbing spread around your head.
She made a sound, you knew she was unconvinced but still didn’t say anything. It was too early to squabble, or upset you, rather. “Did you have breakfast?”
You nodded, massaging your temple, “I did, Stomach’s a bit upset so I had some oatmeal and a banana.”
“Good.” She hummed.
The rest of the drive was quite quiet, apart from the music playing through the speakers. The first half of the day was okay, you just had to sit through them. After lunch came Literature class with Mrs. Daly— she always picked on you to answer questions, read a passage, asked you what you thought about the reading that was done. This was the last thing you needed today, but you were not about to miss classes over body aches. Everybody gets those, why should you skip school over that?
“y/n, Wuthering Heights.”
Well, damn.
“Did you do the reading?”
“Yes I did, Mrs Daly.” You answered flatly.
“Good, based on your reading, what year was Nelly born?”
You gulped, wait. You knew this. You did the math. Because you’ve already read this book before. Why couldn’t you remember?
“Um.”
“y/n, did you do the work or not?”
“I read it, I did.” You nearly huffed.
Come on, get this over with.
“1758.”
“Thank you.”
You quickly sat back down, and once she was at the front of the class again, you looked at the whiteboard but weren’t actually focused on anything.
Before you had registered it, you were moving onto the next class, and the next class. And the next one. With barely any time to stop in between, that meant that Regina couldn’t ask you anything and you were kind of glad about that.
“Hey, y/n. Do you want some coffee?”
“Um…”
“You just seem so sleepy, I figured it’d perk you up.” Gretchen explained with a smile. She had some in her flask— she always had a latte or sometimes matcha with her in school.
“Gretch, thank you but my stomach’s being a little weird today so I shouldn’t have caffeine.” You declined, “Just two more classes.”
“Oh, alright then.” Gretchen seemed a tad worried.
“I’m okay, just stressed with midterms coming up.”
“Get some sleep tonight. Early.” She said back.
“I’ll try, Gretch.” You chuckled while spotting Regina approaching from a distance.
“Finally catching you for a minute.” Regina smirked in her usual fashion, pressing a kiss to your lips. “Hey.” You smiled.
“You want to go to the mall after school to eat and maybe shop a little?”
“Not today, I’m really sleepy.” You told her.
“That’s okay, I’ll spend the night with you.”
“Okay.” You replied, and before you could say anything more, the bell went off. “I’ll meet you back here after your last class, okay?” Regina kissed you again, on the cheek this time, “Love you.”
“Love you too.”
“Come on, Gretch. Let’s get to home ec.” Regina glanced at Gretchen, tilting her head in the opposite direction.
“Yep. See you later, y/n.” Gretchen gave you a hug before she left with Regina. And you, were headed to gym class. But ultimately decided to sit in the nurse’s office until it was time to go home because you absolutely could not risk it.
After the final bell of the day, you went over to your locker where Regina said she’d meet you and go home together.
————
“Will you talk to me if something is going on?”
“Regina— you know. You know how my pain gets sometimes. I don’t want to have to rely on somebody else to get through the day.” You bit back a sigh, “You already have your back hurting all the time, Reg.”
“You have your days, I have mine. But that doesn’t mean I can’t be there for you and take care of you. Sometimes, not all the time. I know that. Just when you need the help. Let me be there for you, I know it sucks. It’s hard, and it’s so isolating.”
“It’s hard for me to— you— I don’t like asking for help because it makes me seem like a burden.” You revealed in tears.
“I know, baby. I understand that, but we talked about that. Right? No matter what, it’s going to be okay if we go through it together. It’s going to take time, but I will be by your side no matter how hard it gets. You just let me know and I’ll be right with you.”
She took your hand into her own and led you upstairs to your room. “Let’s get you into a fresh set of clothes then we can lay down, sound good?”
You nodded silently and stood next to her while she got you a loose comfy sweatshirt and a pair of shorts. You groggily changed into the clothes and crawled under the covers, Regina followed suit. “Come here.” She opened up her arms and you scooted closer to her. Regina kissed the top of your head, “Close your eyes. Get some sleep, I got you.”
“Okay.” You answered quietly, “Thank you.”
“Don’t mention it.” She ran a hand through your hair, “Did you take any pain medicine today?”
“I did.” You nodded, snuggling closer to her, “The muscle relaxant.”
“Naproxen? Okay. Do you want to take it again? It could help you get to sleep more comfortably.”
“Yeah, that’ll be nice.” You muttered, face almost smushed against her shirt.
“Alright, I’ll just be a minute. Going to get you some water and the pill.” She told you then carefully pulled away from you. Regina returned soon after, you took the pill and laid back down in her arms. “Okay, go to sleep. I’ll be right here when you wake up.”
“You’re staying the night?”
“Mhm, I am. I’ll wake you up for dinner. For now, just rest.”
“Thanks, Reg.”
“Of course, baby.”

Warnings: fluff, age regression
All the quiet nights you bear
Seal them up with care
No one needs to know they're there
For I will hold them for you
Cause' all I ever wanted is here
All I ever wanted
It was Saturday morning and you were supposed to meet Regina at her place. However, you ended up not going due to…something that happened before you left the house. Sometimes…you used age regression to cope with stress. That was voluntary, other times it gets triggered by things such as situations that reminded you of trauma from when you were younger. Parents constantly arguing was a sure-fire way to get you closer to that point. The last couple weeks have been rough for you. Because of the frequency of which your parents seem to be at each other’s throats. It gave you instant flashbacks to when you were younger, hearing them basically have a screaming match with each other and you having to lock yourself in your room so you didn’t get yourself caught in the middle hearing them talk about you.
You thought Regina would have called you, upset. But she didn’t. You were supposed to meet her an hour ago, but she hadn’t even texted you.
Actually, scratch that. As soon as that thought crossed your mind, your phone buzzed. You saw her texts, but ignored them. Not entirely on purpose since you couldn’t exactly type properly right now. Your eyes focused on your tablet again for several minutes before your phone going off diverted your attention. You grabbed your phone and shoved it under a pillow so that it was out of sight, then resumed your cartoons. You were soon interrupted again, however. When a string of harsh knocks on your front door scared you out of your wits. Clutching onto your blanket and stuffed cat, your heart admittedly started to race. Then a rock was thrown at your window, “y/n! Let me in! Please! I need to know if you’re okay!”
You walked up to your window and looked at her. She saw you, made eye contact and was immediately relieved. “Baby, let me inside, please!” She hollered. You backed away from the window, leaving your room and headed downstairs to open the door. When you opened up the door, there she was, standing right in front of you on the porch. You watched her face closely, a part of you was worried about her reaction to finding out you were an age regressor. Another part of you…just wanted her to hold you. The ‘bigger’ part of you that crept up, won. Worries took over your mind in the moment. You were nervous as her eyes slightly narrowed. “Are you okay?”
You shook your head. A little too honest, eh?
Her brows were knit together in concern. “What’s wrong? Are you sick?”
She doesn’t seem to be saying anything about your kiddy pyjamas, the fuzzy blanket draped over your shoulders or the stuffed cat in your arm. So that was a relief. Regina’s never seen this side of you though. So you didn’t exactly know what she was thinking apart from the worry about whether or not you were sick. You shut the door, took her hand and led her upstairs, for the lack of better words…you thought you’d just show her. She didn’t resist either.
“Okay. What’s going on, baby?”
“Nothing.” You managed.
“Are you sure you’re alright?” She asked, sitting down on your bed with you.
“Yeah.”
“Okay.” She answered softly, stroking your hair, “I’m just glad to see you.” You leaned into her, head resting on her chest, she naturally wrapped her arms around you.
“What ya watching?”
“Arthur.” You mumbled.
“That’s…” The blonde squinted, “Fun. Did you eat your breakfast yet?”
You shook your head. “You want something to eat?”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“No.”
“Baby, you need to eat something. It’s past noon.”
You kept quiet, lisp pursed together.
“Why don’t we go check out the kitchen, huh?” She suggests, rubbing your back. You agreed with a nod, she then took you downstairs with her. You followed behind her, every step of the way. “Do you want some hashbrowns? And chicken nuggets?”
“Okay.” You gave in.
Regina has some questions, honestly but she couldn’t bring herself to ask them. She wasn’t sure if you were going to want to talk to her more than you were doing so right now. For whatever reason, Regina’s next best option was Gretchen. After putting some of those on a tray, she popped that into the oven to bake, Regina took her phone out of her pocket, glancing at you as she does. You were just staring into space, hugging that you. But at least she knew you weren’t sick or anything.
After texting Gretchen, Regina put her phone away after a brief Google search. “Baby, come here.” Regina opened up her arms. You quietly walked up to her and stayed in her embrace. “Drink some water okay?” She requested softly. You nodded, face smushed up against her chest. Regina pondered for a moment, “What cup do you wanna use?”
You broke away from the hug just enough to look at her, then you turned around and reached for a Tinkerbell plastic cup on the shelf. “Alright.” Regina carefully let go of you, rinsed your cup and went over to your fridge to fill it up with some water. “Here.”
“Thank you.” You told her shyly.
Truth be told, Regina was resisting the very strong urge to squish your cheeks. “You’re welcome, baby. Let’s go sit down?”
You nodded, still sipping on your water as she took your hand and led you over to the couch. “Do you want to watch TV?”
“No.” You put your cup down, scooting closer to Regina and snuggled up against her. She wasn’t used to this sort of physical affection, this much of it at least. Not that she actually didn’t like it, but Regina just doesn’t really show it.
“You’re okay.” She rubs your back and pressed a fleeting kiss on the top of your head. “I got you, okay? Do you want to do anything? Read? Play games?”
“Can we do colouring?” You asked, voice slightly muffled due to the position you were in.
“Yeah. You wanna do that now or later?”
“Now?”
“Okay.” She nods, you led her up to your room and pulled out two colouring books along with crayons and colour pencils. You were then laid on your stomach on the floor to colour some pages. Regina sat beside you, just watching.
“Baby, I’ll be right back. Just gotta go get our chicken nuggets and hashbrowns.”
“…kay.”
“Okay. Stay right here.” Ruffling with your hair, you laughed, she went downstairs sporting a sneaky little smile on her face. She made sure you didn’t see it, though…she wasn’t too sure why she was hiding it. You’d certainly appreciate that energy and cheerfulness right now, she just wasn’t used to being, as she says ‘soft’. Even when she was that way with you, it was subtle to the point where only you would know because the difference from her usual behaviour was so minor. Not including the obvious nickname, that is.
Regina got the food out of the oven and plated it. She found a Pocahontas plate in the cupboard and guessed that it was yours so she took that one out for you. It really only took her five minutes at most since she had to decide on the drinks too, but when she returned, you were already back in your bed. “Here you go.” She flashes a crooked smile, setting down the plate in front of you carefully.
“Are you mad at me?” You asked while poking a nugget around on your plate. It wasn’t hot so you picked it up and took a bite.
Regina’s eyes went wide, “Baby, no. I’m not mad at you. I promise.”
You barely nodded, then continued eating in silence. “Shall we put on a movie, baby?” She suggested in an attempt to get your spirits up again. Regina wasn’t sure what happened in those last few minutes, but she hated that you asked that question. She’d never be mad at you, ever. You’ve never made her mad. Regina’s heart ached a little but she quickly forgot about that and chose to be present with you. “Let's watch a movie, hm? Which one’s your favourite?” She bent down slightly to catch your gaze while dragging your iPad closer. You went into the Disney+ app and put on Princess and the Frog. “That’s a good one.” Regina fully smiled, holding onto your hand, “You wanna sit here, bubs?” She was gesturing to her lap— you saw that through the corner of your eye.
“Yeah.” You nodded eagerly.
“Yeah?” Regina chuckled, “C’mon, sit here. Let’s finish lunch then we’ll play some games, how’s that sound? Good?”
“Good.” You agreed, settling yourself in her lap. She naturally wrapped her arm around your waist, then both of you ate the rest of your lunches in silence while watching the movie. You were all smiley again, so she was relieved.
“You wanna show me how to play the game, sweetie?” She asks, rubbing your back. Lunch was done, dishes were cleaned. And you were a little…clingy. “Or do you wanna take a nap?”
With your head nuzzled in the crook of her neck, you just stayed in her lap. You didn’t say anything, but Regina saw that you were pouting and your eyes were watery. “Hey…” She kisses the top of your head, “Baby, what’s wrong?”
“I’m ‘eepyyyyy.” You whined, “But I wanna play games.”
She bites back a chuckle, “We can nap first, then we can play whatever games you want for longer, how about that? Let’s get some rest, alright? Please?”
You showed no signs of letting her go, so she doesn’t say anything and just lets you stay on her lap. You were also completely silent so she took this chance to coax you to sleep by rocking you a little and rubbing your back.
“I want ice cream.”
“Okay, baby. But later.” She reasoned, “You’re tired, and upset already. I don’t want that. I want you to be happy and rested. So please? Close your eyes? We’ll get ice cream when you wake up, okay?”
You fell asleep in her arms, she was relieved you were asleep and could now use the time to process it all. She definitely needed to have a conversation with you about it, she just had to know how and when, especially since you seemed quite worried about her reaction when she first got here. Your nap gave her approximately four hours to think and reflect, then it was about 5pm so Regina had to have a plan for dinner too. She carefully put you down on your mattress then went downstairs to check the fridge and pantry once more. Ultimately, she ordered in some pizza from a nearby place since she was a bit tired from the day. It was quite a thing to come to know of, but Gretchen was right. All that mattered in the moment was that you were happy and safe. Nothing brought a bigger smile to her face than seeing you happy. She told you this. And she’s never said it before, she’s just always kind of showed it in a way of longer hugs and lingering kisses, occasionally a gift or two, nice dinners or brunch on anniversaries and important days, oh and also pretty frequent trips out of town just because.
“Reggie?”
“Yep?” She turned around to see you standing on the stairs with that awfully adorable sleepy look on your face.
“Can I have my ice cream now?”
Regina guffaws, “Oh, you remembered?” She motioned for you to walk over to her and you did.
“Mhm.”
She opened up the freezer door, “Alrighty, then. Take your pick, baby. Vanilla or…this one?” That’d be the frozen yogurt in the form of a popsicle. You pointed to the tub of vanilla. She gave in, easily. Scooping you some into a bowl and then handed you a spoon so you could finally enjoy some of that dessert.
“Hey, I ordered pizza for dinner.” She grins.
“Yay, I love pizza.”
“Yeah, you do.” She smooches you on the cheek, “Sit down. It’ll be here soon.”
Yeah, maybe you were too worried over nothing. Regina has been great so far and there hasn’t been much doubt about it once you fully let go and let yourself do what you needed to do. Truthfully, this was your biggest secret. A part of yourself you were trying to keep away from other people because you knew some people weren’t kind. For Regina, you just didn’t want to add on to her problems. She already has to deal with chronic pain and regular PT appointments after the accident. But maybe this was a little like a blessing in disguise. It’s already happened, so you just went with it and it turned out alright after all.

Let me know, we can go somewhere brand new

I hope that it's always next to you”

Regina hasn’t been in love- not since being in love meant losing her best friend, not since it meant being afraid, not since…she lost someone who she once promised never to lose.
So when a project had you and Regina paired up together, you were careful. Because she was who the school knew she was. Confident, intimidating and way out of your league. However, amidst her very well-hidden stuttering and butterflies for you following the initial meeting she’d shown up for you in ways you didn’t expect her to. Paying for your coffee or sandwich, pulling out your chair in a class you were both in, showing up at your home one late morning when you ditched school because of an atrocious migraine. That last one did it for you, you let yourself fall for her. Because that proved that she wasn’t who everyone thought she was.
She ditched school to see you, check on you, bring you snacks and soup and medicine. It was like seeing her in an entirely new light. From that day on, she’d walk you home, text you everyday, FaceTime you to make sure you slept. Then came the dates: brunch, going to the mall…and an official first date. Dinner at a little italian bistro that was clearly something she picked out, but only because she knew you would like the food too.
Now, eight months in, she’s met your family and you’ve met hers. While you were curled up on a chair on the patio with a mug of coffee, you watch Regina play with your sister in the front yard on this Saturday morning. Seeing her so smiley and unguarded, hearing both their laughters…your mind drifts. You started thinking, about what a future with Regina would look like: a year later, college, after college, all the milestones big and small, who was going to propose, the proposal, wedding…even kids. Little mini me’s for this gorgeous powerhouse of a woman you got to call your partner. You were only snapped out of it when Regina sat down next to you and nudged you.
“You’re crying.” She noticed, frowning.
“I’m okay.” You assured, “Just— happy tears.”
“I sure hope so.” She smooched your cheek, then turned her attention back to your 4-year old sister, Eloise. You both gasped when you saw the girl trip and fall, but Regina beat you to her. Eloise also rushed up to Regina first— in full blown tears. Regina sat down, in her jeans on the grass with no hesitation, putting the kid in her lap. “You’re okay.” Regina hushed, “You’re okay, Ellie.”
“Owie.” She wailed.
“I know, I know.” Regina murmured, brushing away the tears while you scrambled to get the first aid kit in the bathroom. “It’s okay, just a little scratch.” Regina continued, Ellie was still sniffling and weeping when you came back. “Look at me, baby.” Regina nudged, “Look at me, see? Your sister’s got the bandaid. We’re gonna make you all better, okay?”
Eloise nodded, although still a little teary. You and Regina shared a look when you dabbed a cotton pad in some antiseptic to clean the scraped knee. Regina got Eloise’s attention again, “Ellie, why don’t we think about what we want to play with next while your sissy puts the bandaid on? You wanna colour? Or should we give Maggie a bath together?”
Maggie was your family’s golden retriever.
“I wan’—” Ellie flinched, cried out and got soothed by Regina.
“I know, I know. We just need to get it all clean, okay? I got you, sweetie. Look, there. All done.”
Her cheeks were blotchy, tear-streaked. But she was fine- you checked her over and it was just a scraped knee. Relieved, you put the kit back in the bathroom and returned with a juice box and some oreos for her. To your surprise, she was giggling when you came back with the snacks, chatting animatedly with Regina about the shapes of clouds overhead, Maggie rolling over and over as if she knew Ellie needed a laugh.
“You’re good with them.” You told her when you all got back inside and Ellie was playing fetch with Maggie.
Regina smirked, “With what?”
You scoffed, “Kids.” Then you sighed.
“I can’t believe it!” She whispered, “You were thinking about it?”
“I mean— you can’t blame me.” You blushed, “You’re just a natural. She likes you more than me by now. Maybe I want to manifest, y’know?”
“Couldn’t get rid of me if you tried.” Regina grinned, tilting your chin and pressing a kiss to your lips, “Long way to go, baby. But, I believe in us.”
You nodded, nuzzling closer to her and looping your arm around her middle.
“Well, for now, Ellie’s a good taste of the life whenever we have to babysit.” Regina remarked, Ellie looked over at the mention of her name. Regina simply smiled and waved, “Hi, you.”
“Don’t think it would be that easy.” You laughed.
“Mm, we’ll be just fine together.” She disagreed.
“As long as I’m next to you, I wouldn’t doubt it for a second.”
“Good.” Regina murmured into your hair, lips brushing your forehead, “I love you.”
You chuckled, glancing at her, “I love you more.”

💬 A/N: One last fic for the year📥 to whoever’s stuck around, thank you.
In which Regina finds that you are…little after an accidental slip.
Requested!
The last two weeks were hectic, you had a test everyday. And then after school, you were off to work most days, only coming home after 10pm. Because of this, you hadn’t had much time to spend with Regina. She knew about the tests at school because she obviously had those too, she also knew you worked a part-time job after school— multiple days a week. You and Regina would FaceTime or at least text every night before you went to bed when you were busier. In other words, most of your time together with her would be at school.
Although…your part-time job was relatively new. You’ve only started it about two months ago. Were you more tired? Sure. Did you need the job? Absolutely. So you swallowed any unhappiness about the job and just did it. Regina seemed to have picked up on how withdrawn you’ve become ever since despite not saying anything about it yet. She knew you had better things to be worried about.
Today was Saturday, the tests have all been completed as of yesterday but you were currently at work and it sucked. It was so busy, and the customers have been so rude. You were trying your damn best to not lose your cool during such a busy time, and thank goodness it wasn't a day where you guys were understaffed. Noticing the time on the POS system in front of you, you saw that you had just twenty minutes left for your shift. Next, something completely unexpected happened: you saw Regina walk in and sit herself down on the bench by the door after a brief moment of eye contact with you. Weird, you thought. Why was she here? No, why was she here to pick you up from work on the day you decided you were going to finally destress when you got home? Destress by age regressing. That’s how you coped, and honestly, given the time you’ve had lately…it was terribly hard to fight the urge to not do so. You felt it happening, but you were literally forcing yourself to make sure it doesn’t happen, forcing yourself to make it through this shift because you finally had tomorrow off work.
You clocked out, heaving a sigh of relief as you went to grab your bag from the lockers. Then, you made your way over to Regina, greeting her quietly. “Why are you here?”
“To pick you up, baby. Why else? Haven’t had any downtime with you all week.” Regina bit back a smile, gaze softening when she looked at you.
“I know you’re here to pick me up, but— eh, never mind.” Your voice trailed off at the end.
Regina squints, worried at your frustration. “You alright, baby?”
You chuckled wryly, “Not so sure.”
“Wanna talk about it?” She asks, starting the engine of her Jeep.
“Mm-mm.” You shook your head no then looked outside as she started to drive.
She exhales, eyes glancing at you briefly, “Take a nap then? I’ll wake you up when we’ve reached my house.”
You nodded, then quickly drifted off to sleep without much trouble. It was better than being awake and worried, and worried about your plans to do what you wanted to do to help with the stress. But with the way she was talking to you, somehow being extra gentle than usual, your mind was easily coaxed into a regressed state. It was happening, and you were just avoiding it by being asleep for now.
You felt a hand on your shoulder, carefully shaking you awake. Your eyes slowly peeled open. “Hi.” She whispered, “We’re here, baby. Come on, let’s get inside.”
You nod, eyes barely open. You followed her lead, clinging onto her arm and walking into the house, then upstairs. Once in her room, you curled up in her bed, ignoring everything else— you just felt like napping. You were sleepy. You heard Regina moving around in her room, probably at her vanity to remove her accessories and makeup. She chuckles at the sight of you so comfortably laying in her bed.
“Sleepy?” She asked, “Or are you feeling sick?”
“Sleepy.” You mumbled, hands reaching out to her and you sulked.
“Aw, what’s wrong?” She asked, voice still soft.
You blinked innocently, “Hug?” You didn’t even worry about anything right now, you just knew you wanted her to hold you.
“One minute, baby.” She smiled crookedly, Regina was slightly worried. She’s never seen you like this before. Not that she was complaining by any means…because you seemed so very cute right now. Maybe you were just clingy? She thought.
While she was changing into comfy clothes, Regina asked if you wanted to do the same too, but you just whined. Another moment of concern went through her head, she sighs. Chewing on her lower lip, “Baby, is something bothering you?”
“No.” You told her timidly, noticing that tense expression on her face. Regina walked over to her bed and sat down next to you, studying you carefully. “I don’t want you to go through tough days alone, y/n. You’ve got me. I know things have been busy lately.”
You nodded, her hand rests on your side, endearingly squeezing it comfortingly. “I’m okay.”
“I know, bubs. You want a hug?”
“Yes, please.” You grinned cheekily.
“Mmkay, come here, bubs.” Regina opened up her arms and you quickly snuggled up against her.
“Can we play?” You muttered.
Yeah, no, Regina’s decided that you weren’t just clingy. But it was okay.
“Yeah, play what?” She asked, running a hand through your hair.
You hummed in thought, “Your iPad?”
“Weren’t you sleepy just a minute ago?” She laughed lightly.
You murmured, face buried in her chest. “Take a little nap, then we can play when you wake up. Deal?”
You shook your head, still not wanting to go to sleep. “Feel funny.” You muttered, arm now wrapped around her loosely.
“Hm?”
You sniffled, “Mommy and daddy yell a lot now.”
“They do?” She asked, soothingly rubbing your back.
You nod, “Yeah. It’s loud. So I hide.”
“It’s not your fault, hm?”
“It is though.” You breathed out shakily.
“No, it’s not.” She repeated, “It’s not your fault.”
“They yell my name.” You sighed, “I sit— I sit in my closet until I don’t hear anything.”
“That’s okay, baby. You just need to stay safe. You can call me, too, okay?”
“Okay.” You sniffed again. “…’m tired. School, work…so many people.”
“I know, I know…you’re okay. Just rest now, alright, baby?”
“Mmm.” You mumbled incoherently, nodding once again, “Will you leave me, Reggie?”
“Never.” Regina answered, “I promise.”
“Daddy left. Said he wasn’t gonna come back.” You laughed humourlessly, “Mommy was so angry.”
She didn’t know what to respond with, so she just let you get it off your chest while holding you and whispering words of assurances into your ears. “You’re safe with me, baby. Never gonna leave, okay? Never.”
And so…your little secret was out, and things weren’t so bad after all. When you had Regina with you, at least.
