Not everything is as it seems on the outside. This would be the case for the Takahashi family.
Sato, a “valued employee” as some say, is the owner of the Takahashi Onsen in Mt. Komorebi. He has been working his way up as a Salaryperson since Day 1 of him starting his job. Some may say that Sato Takahashi is the man to be: successful, rich, well-known.
Yet, no one except his children and wife know who Sato really is: cruel, narcissistic, and aggressive.
Inheriting the Takahashi Onsen from his father was one thing. Sato knew that he must have his “greatest” and “capable” child take over the business. This is what he thought when Shikashi, his first born, was brought to this Sim Earth. So once Shikashi was the young age of five, Ryoko was a mere toddler and little Fuyuhito was on the way Sato begun teaching Shikashi about business, finances, and other things he’s going to need to know on how to successfully run a business.
His wife, Shizuku, didn’t approve of Sato’s actions. Not only was he neglecting her and Ryoko, but Shikashi was only a child. The two argued and they came to the agreement that if Shizuku didn’t birth the “most intelligent and competent child” out of all of their kids, then he’d stop forcing Shikashi to learn about business. But until then, Shikashi was stuck with his nose in the books, unable to have a relationship with his little sister.
Years passed, and Hikori was born into the Takahashi family. Sato exclaimed with joy when his youngest was born. “He’s the one!” he proudly stated. “I will teach this child about running the Onsen!”
Poor little Hikori didn’t know what he’d be getting himself into. As he got older, he slowly became more distant with his siblings. Shikashi was relieved from the books he had to read every day. He, Ryoko, and Fuyuhito grew close and lived a happy and stable life with one another. When Hikori reached the age of five, he begun to hit the book just like his older brother.
Long story short, all of those years of reading book after book on business and financing has left Hikori with a few marks or so on his face, Shizuku to lose her mind, and one less family member.
With Ryoko always at work teaching children and Fuyuhito at Britechester studying Biology to become a Bodybuilder, Hikori doesn’t have anyone to go to. He’s been left feeling empty and resent towards his father for how he’s treating Hikori’s brothers, sister and mother.
Will attending public school for the first time help Hikori deal with his emotions? Will he recover from past with the help of new friends? And what really happened to Shikashi?
