!!! General Emma Emmerich Headcanons!!!
If she had a name for her codec call, it would be "Ha1rSt1x" due to her love for technology and leetspeak.
She keeps her hair short to avoid causing herself pain by brushing tearing out clumps of knotted hair. (Which hurts pretty bad, I know from experience.)
Emma wears raglan shirts (the style of her iconic shirt) more often than regular t-shirts due to her insecurity of her broad shoulder.
She gets slightly annoyed when people call her hairsticks "chopsticks."
She uses chopsticks semi-regularly. It isn't an uncommon sight to see her eating with them while she's on break.
Emma has burned multiple CDs and sneaks them into Big Shell to listen to them.
She knows the best ways to pirate multiple types of media.
She listens to mostly Pop and EDM; when she's having a rough day, she'll listen to Rock and Metal with women vocalists.
She mainly wears red and pink, but on occasions, she'll wear different colors to keep things interesting. It's also an excuse to try to stylize different colors on her.
Emma owns 20+ pairs of hairsticks that she slowly cycles throughout each month. Although she likes some more than others.
Her computer and desk are as stylized as Big Shell safety codes will allow/as much as she can get away with. (Computers get hot/catch fire, be careful of what's near it.)
Survives every day almost solely on sugary snacks, quick/cheap meals (ramen noodles, y'know the ones), and caffeine. Sodas/pops are her preferred form of caffeine.
No one at Big Shell is sure when or how Emma got Otacon the bird authorized to live in the building, and no one questioned it.
She often credits Otacon the bird as her assistant/helper with her work.
No one at Big Shell can call her "E.E." She feels it's too childish to be used at the workplace.
Sketches on sticky notes when she gets bored. If she genuinely likes a sketch, she'll put it on her desk. Uses Otacon the bird as a muse for many of her sketches (and she loves every single one).
She messes with her hairsticks when she's anxious, often taking them out and placing them back in. She also fidgets with her glasses as well.
Emma is extremely quiet that many times she'll accidentally scared people when she walks around corners. Or people will sometimes forget she's in the room with them.
A few people at Big Shell have asked her out. She's never said yes to any of them.
Has many times almost gave herself a panic attack when she remembers Big Shell is surrounded by water.
She's a bit flirty when talking to people, but mostly does it when she feels nervous or in a stressful situation.
When Emma is angry/upset, she'll speak in a deeper octave.
An expert on cracking her fingers, neck, back, etc. People nearby give pained glances like they're feeling to cracks as well.
Sometimes, she puts pink/red dye on the underpart of her brown hair for a subtle, warm tone.
She likes anime; magical girl and romance are her favorite genres.
