A Collage Of You
A faint smile lifted up his features as he brought his fingers down the length of the photograph, muttering only a single word as he gazed down at it,
"Beautiful."
'Just beautiful,' he thought to himself as he kept his sea-green eye trained on the woman's image.
"I've got plenty more," Ocelot informed him, eyeing the new addition to the collection of saved memories the brunette currently held in his hand.
"No, this is just fine," Snake responded back, offering the other man a nod of appreciation nonetheless.
- Dedicating an entire wall to her would have made it too obvious.
He expected the tactical instructor to leave it at just that, however, speaking furthermore, Ocelot surprised the brunette,
"You know, she seemed happy knowing you wanted to do this," he said with a knowing look, watching as his friend placed the new image onto the interior wall of the helicopter,
"She was just over the moon." He then added.
"Yeah?" Venom uttered whilst still keeping his eye on the lovely image, " You think she did?" He asked with peaked interest. Involuntarily, his heart skipped a beat, enthralled to know that its silent cries to her were somewhat responded, though faintly.
"The only other times she's ever that happy is when you come around," Ocelot responded back with a sly grin, "And judging by the way you look at that picture, I'd say the feeling's mutual," he added, making Snake chuckle softly.
"You got me there," he responded back, amused by his own inconspicuous behavior.
Placing a hand on Venom's shoulder, Ocelot spoke,
"With that being said, I'd say adding two or three more wouldn't kill you, much less cause her to lose interest." He assured the other man, "Hell, If anything, she'd be flattered." he continued on, sounding every bit as sure as he felt.
Handing V the rest of the images, he continued to grin, " So go ahead, hang them up, " he suggested, knowing that sure enough, the other man would do so.
By the end of the day, an entire collage was set up on the interior of his vehicle, the smiling woman the center of every one of them.
Again, he smiled as he gazed at them, regretting having even contemplated settling for just one photograph.
