“A Medic’s Breaking Point: The moment when Punished “Venom” Snake became Big Boss.” 🐍 - The unofficial “end” to Kojima Hideo, Murata Shuyo, Inamura Hidenari & Tamari Etsu’s #MetalGearSolidVThePhantomPain (PS4), the grand finale to the #MetalGearSeries (my favorite video game franchise of ALL-TIME!), is an ending some would either love, hate, feel indifferent towards, or find to be completely baffling. For yours truly, however, I found the #End to #MGSVThePhantomPain to be quite fascinating and very melancholic, considering that the REAL Big Boss’ #Phantom ...a former combat medic for #MSF (Militaires Sans Frontières), had finally reached his breaking point, snapped, and believed himself to truly be... Big Boss. Not just his “Phantom”, but that he was indeed #BigBoss 🧔🏻 Since the game’s release back in 2015, MANY #Gamers and #MetalGear fans alike still believe and would even argue that the “ending” was Kojima-san’s not-so subtle “farewell” and “tribute” to them... thanking them for their #Love & #Support, and that everyone of them were, or had the potentials “to be Big Boss”... NOTHING could be more hilarious, because a non-sensical and ridiculous notion like that couldn’t be so further from the #Truth 😂👏🏻 As it’s been said MANY times throughout the #MetalGearSolidSeries “There is room for ONLY ONE Snake, and ONE Big Boss.” ...furthermore, it was Punished “Venom” Snake who Big Boss (NOT Kojima-san!) was addressing, and it MADE SENSE! #PunishedVenomSnake couldn’t “handle it” as Big Boss had faith he would. The immense pressure and responsibility that came with being his #Phantom and leader of #DiamondDogs 🐶 (formerly known as #FoxHound 🦊), while he hid himself from the world. It was such a great burden for the #PhantomSnake to carry... so much so that he would inevitably snap, and he did... The “ending” to #MSGV as fascinating as it was, and I do LOVE how it ties into the tale told in the very 1st #MetalGear game released in 1987, it was such a dark and sad conclusion for the unnamed #Medic now in his new role as #BigBoss especially after EVERYTHING he’s been through and the losses he had suffered. 💔 That smirk at the end though... 😈😏 #MetalGearSolid https://www.instagram.com/p/B4xzsQZjaCn/?igshid=17buw8do2bcca
