“A World Without Bosses, or Snakes: Big Boss’ farewell to his son, Zero’s return to nothing, and Snake’s second chance... to finally live.” 👨🏻🦳👨🏻🦲🧔🏼🐍 - No grand finales, or endings, in #VideoGames as far as I’m concerned, will ever come close to surpassing the grand finale/ending to Kojima Hideo & Murata Shuyo’s #MetalGearSolid4GunsOfThePatriots (PS3), a video game classic that isn’t just my absolute favorite of the #MetalGearSeries but the grand finale/ending itself, an epilogue to the tale’s conclusion titled #NakedSin ...I’ve no words for it, none, even after nearly 12 years had passed since the game’s release back in #2008 ...it was absolutely breathtaking, emotional, and f**king AMAZING, from the writing to the voice/motion-capture performances, to Big Boss pulling the plug and essentially ending Zero’s life, to of course the very intense #MexicanStandOff between the resurrected #BigBoss and his clone, or rather... his son, #OldSnake (formerly known as “Solid Snake”), which later transitioned into such a beautiful and heartwarming moment, one that definitely left yours truly at a loss of words, just as it had Old Snake, especially considering that Big Boss and Snake were once bitter enemies, who fought each other to the death on two separate occasions. ☯️🤜🏻🤛🏻 “Let it go... my son! I’m not here to fight.” ...those were the words spoken by Big Boss as he embraced his son. 👨👦❤️ “What?!” ...that must’ve been what Snake, the old man, thought to himself, because that was exactly what I’d thought to myself. ⁉️😧 That beautiful and heartwarming moment there, coupled with Big Boss ending the life of his once dear old friend, Zero (the monster that he and his closest comrades had created.), and Big Boss paying his respects to his beloved mentor/mother-figure #TheBoss👱🏻♀️ who he’d killed with his own hands, just as Snake had killed him with his, before he bid his son farewell and insisted that he uses his second chance at life to FINALLY live and let go of all the fightings and wars. Live and be free, not as a Snake but as a Man.
