Like?? The reason All Might chose to give OfA to Deku is because he moved before thinking, because he couldn't stay detached while someone else needed help even if he actually couldn't do anything to help, and Gentle did the same thing, he moved without thinking to help and it wasn't enough

The difference is that Deku had All Might and Gentle didn't
