Wakanda Forever Spoilers Out Of Context
Question, how would a Power Rangers DĂŚmon AU work? Would the dĂŚmons also morph with their human? Would they temporarily disappear? Would what your dĂŚmon settled as be a factor on if you get chosen or not?
Imagine if the dĂŚmons do disappear. The power rangers suits protect your body, but your dĂŚmon is still vulnerable and the bad guys don't care about human social taboos and will attack your dĂŚmon if given the chance, so the morphin' grid fuses your dĂŚmon with you while you're morphed for extra protection.
Imagine the first time people morph, how terrified and weirded out they get when they realise their dĂŚmon isn't there. Imagine how weirded out the civilians get when they notice their saviors don't have dĂŚmons. Maybe in that universe the rumor that the rangers are aliens is more widespread, more believed.
Would it just be the Power Rangers universe, but with dĂŚmons, or would it be Lyra's World but with Power Rangers? Because, saving the world or not, there is no way the Magisterium wouldn't start a witch hunt against the rangers
Do aliens have dĂŚmons? I expect the monsters don't, but does the rest of the universe?
I really wanna read a fanfic with this idea now
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers - Liveblog -Part 2
Season 1, Episodes 22 - 30
Is Tommy being off doing his own thing and having to be called to join the fight going to become a recurring thing? Because it sure looks like it
Am I the only one that doesn't like the Bulk and Skull segments? Everytime they show up I want to just skip ahead
(About episode Spit Flower) Why did Rita make that monster grow? It was winning, now that its big, the rangers are gonna call the zords and won't be affected by the flowers anymore. Just. Why.
Hey, since Tommy doesn't go inside the dragonzord, why doesn't the monster try to stomp on him? I assume it wouldn't work, but it seems like the kind of thing the monsters would try at least once
(About Life's A Masquerade) You'd think by now they'd think "giant monster" before "earthquake" right? Unless Angel Grove just has a lot of earthquakes all the time?
Also, how does Rita's telescope work? Because the moon 1) rotates around itself, 2) rotates around the Earth and 3) the Earth itself rotates, so how come she just always has the perfect view of Angel Grove? I mean, it could just be magic, she is a witch
Wait, what about her scepter? When she throws it, would it rotate around the Earth a bit until its above the right place? Or maybe this is bias, because the episodes only happen when Rita does something, so maybe they only happen when the moon is alligned just right with Angel Grove? But then Zordon and Alpha would have noticed that and the rangers would know when to expect an attack and they never seen to
I'm way overthinking this, aren't I? Lmao
Hey, I just realized that the dragonzord, the megazord and the t-rex are all the same size. Like, irl I get it, because it's a dude in a suit, so the size difference can't be that big, but the megazord and the t-rex being the same size fells Weird
(About Gung Ho!) Tommy without the Dragon Shield looks really off
On the other hand, Jason with the Dragon Shield looks nice - I thought that was just a comics thing, so I was pleasantly surprised when it happened
(Wheel of Misfortune) Was there something off with Zordon's dub this episode? It sounded different when he was talking to Tommy
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers - Liveblog - Part 1
I'm aware this is not the content anyone followed me for, but I Do Not Control the Hyperfixation
Anyway, enjoy this ride with me
Season 1, Episodes 1 - 21
Green With Evil aside, this feels very episodic in like, the way missing an episode probably wouldn't matter a whole lot, which I guess was the point? But they also feel introductory, the team feels like they're new to this, which I expect will only last so long
Also, a bit of context, I know quite a bit about Power Rangers via Culture Osmosis, but the only season I actually watched as a kid was Wild Force, this is genuinely the 1st time I see MMPR, so...
The characters don't seem to have a lot of depth, but I like that they add a little bit of flavour every few episodes, like Trini being afraid of heights. They're not full blown character arcs like I know some characters get in latter seasons, but it helps the characters feel a bit more fleshed out
Also, what is up with the clothes? Like, I know rangers dressing in their colour is A Thing but this is ridiculous
Like, Zack and Billy still remember other colours exist, even if their main palette is their colour, so they get a pass, and Trini wears yellow all the time, but at least she looks like she's trying to dress like a normal person.
Kim, meanwhile, zigzags between "could pass as just liking pink a lot" and "this is way too much pink, please put some back". Isn't she supposed to be the girly girl of the group? Yeah, no, she should know better, so she doesn't get a pass.
I couldn't get a better screenshot, but it's pink from Head To Toe. Why. Add a neutral colour in there somewhere, Please.
But Oh My God, Jason, I swear everytime I see the red pants a part of my soul Dies. Why.
No, just no.
This was uncharacteristic passionate about clothes, but those red pants are just That Bad and I hate them.
Also, a detail I can't unsee: if Tommy is morphed it's really easy to know if its american footage or from the super sentai, because the quality of the dragon shield zigzags.
American footage
Straight from Japan

...
Yeah, I have no excuse :/
"Original statement given June 12th, 1841." Oooh, an old timey statement? It's been a while since the last one. It was, what, that one with the tomb, right? The tomb with the books? If there was a more recent one then I forgot, oops
Oh, btw, it's been a while since the last time I listened to this podcast, so forgive me if I forgot anything đ
...is he possessed?
"though I have my suspicions he was also eager to no longer have his designs subject to my scrutiny" I have a bad feeling about this
"At the mention of the name âGeorge Gilbert Scott,â Sir Robertâs face flushed suddenly with anger, in a manner not entirely unlike that of his protege" uh oh
âBalance,â he told me. âEquilibrium. The hardest thing for an architect to achieve. Symmetry is easy, but does not, in and of itself, result in balance. To stir the feelings of man, to create a small place of being divorced from the rest of the world, while still retaining that balance, is the true goal of the architect.â <-------- I'm saving this because this feels like something that might mean more in hindsight, it feels, idk, oddly specific? Something like that, those things that you look back and go Ah, I get it now so I'm saving the quote
Also Smirke keeps popping up and I want to know What's His Deal
"and a patron that the young fool did not understand." Yup, sounds like possession to me
"But as I got closer I saw them clearly. Extending from the unblemished solid stone of the workhouse wall were four fingertips." Just when you think you know what's coming, this podcast goes and gives you this
"That should made me feel better, but somehow it doesnât." Me neither, Jon, me neither
Hello, Tim!
Asdfghjkldhdjhdjshkf I love Tim

Is this going to be another meat episode? What is it with this podcast and meat?
"I started to wonder if the Ukrainian mafia was involved in some full-on Sweeney Todd body disposal" (...) "it didnât mean they were selling the meat to the public. That would be a massive and unnecessary risk, and organized crime wasnât big on unnecessary risk" Call it morbid curiosity, how would someone find out that it was human meat? Aside from an investigation on the mafia itself leading the police there, how would that kind of thing be found out?
"It was only later I realized it must have been soundproofed." Well, that's not ominous at all
Oh, body horror, lovely
"It was when I saw the teeth that studded the inside of the fleshy throat that I realized what I was looking at" hey, mister Jonny Sims? People at Rusty Quill? What the fuck
Knowing that the statement-giver eventually loses his arm and hearing about what Jared can do, I'm just kinda waiting for him to get caught. No flipping clue on how he's gonna get out, though
"I should have waited longer, should have made sure he was fast asleep, but I was close to breaking point at this stage, and I could think of nothing but escape" And here it comes
Hhhhhhgggggggggg yikes
"They never did find Jared though. He was long gone when they arrived" Of course he was
"then Hopworth has found new ways to profit from his abilities in the eight years since his acquisition of The Boneturnerâs Tale" ooooh, it's this guy! Is he going to become a recurring character?
I guess I should get used to the meat episodes, huh
"At least, she was until Martin interviewed her. I should warn Elias to expect another complaint" afjdkahdjhgakkjl MARTIN!
"Sasha has recently been having problems with her normal backdoor access to police records, as, despite ITâs best efforts, her computer has broken yet again, making this the third time in the last two months." Oh, is she now? Or she doing it herself because she doesn't have the skillset the real Sasha had?
"Apparently, he is involved both with one of the young ladies there, as well as the gentleman who manages the other shift" Wait, Tim is canonicaly Bi??? :o Did this come up before and I forgot??
Percy Jackson and the Olympians - The Lightning Thief - Liveblog
Kinda.
So I was rereading that book for the first time in a couple of years and there's a thing I'm trying to do with it (you guys will find out if I ever manage to finish it), so I was taking notes
So I thought maybe it'd be interesting to share some of those in here, since tecnically this counts as a liveblog
Small note that my books aren't in english, so if I quote the books that means I'm quoting them in my language and translating to english, so it probably won't match word by word what you have at home
So, here it is
Pgs. 117-118: why isn't Percy affected by his own sweat? It's water
Pg. 124: Grover says that no hero has ever managed to bring someone back from the dead. But isn't there a myth where Heracles rescues Theseus from the Underworld? Or something? I think OSP made a video
(No specific page mentioned) I forgot how fun Grover was. Why wasn't he in HoO? :(
Pg. 212: "it was the only time he had permission to visit Olympus - the darkest day of the year" wow, and you guys wonder why he's so bitter
(No page mentioned either, but right before the confrontation w/ Echidna) Why does Hades' helm radiate intense fear? That would make sense if it was Phobos' or Deimos', but, as far as I know, fear isn't part of Hades' domain.
(Grover is the one to mention that, though, and that aspect of the helm, at least as far as I remember, was never explored in the books. So it's possible that Grover was wrong)
Percy recognizes him as Procrustus, a giant who tried to kill Theseus. Percy, then, showing just why I think he's a slytherin, convinces Crust to lay in one of his own beds, immediately activating the trap.
Apparently Houdini was a demigod. I wonder who his parent was
"I noticed Hades must have built his palace to look like this one. He isn't welcome at Olympus, except for during the winter solstice, so he built his own Olympus in the Underworld. Despite my bad experience with him, I felt pity. Being banished from this place seemed unfair. It would make anyone bitter" - Percy GETS IT
"-Wow, Annabeth - he complained. - You sound like an old goat-mom." - I thought all satyrs were men? Maybe it's just a saying, idk
"I spent my days coming up with new strategies for capture the flag and making alliances with the other cabins to keep the flag away from Ares' hands" - WHY does the fandom think Percy is dumb??
Luke warns Percy that if he tries anything funny the scorpion will be faster and he'll be dead in sixty seconds. Instead of doing just that, and being done with the threat that Percy represents, Luke decides to monologue, as if he was a 007 villain.
TMA 48 - Liveblog
"Most of our time together was spent at night, dining, talking, or⌠otherwise engaged" ( ͥ° ÍĘ ÍĄÂ°)
"Then we went to bed, and I got what may have been my last restful night." RIP
"He apologized grudgingly and said that as he was here, he thought he should at least let me know that I was marked. He didnât know what by, but that it was close." Marked, that's an interesting word, is there something hunting her? There doesn't seem to have been any supernatural event in her life before this, so it isn't like Michael, where his prey escaped and then he got it back later, so I wonder what he means by marked
"Siblings? No" wait, didn't she say earlier that she had a brother or something?
She does have a sibling! "I had to share a bunk-bed with my brat of an older brother"! Where did this No Siblings thing come from??
"I wouldâve assumed heâd maybe just headed on without me, but his backpack was still in our room, untouched." He's dead, isn't he?
"Perhaps it wasnât just hidden away, perhaps it had been actually illegal, and heâd gotten caught up in something he shouldnât have" Shouldn't you have gone to the police then? Like, if it had been human trafficking or something you'd just have given yourself to the same guys on a silver platter by going on your own
Did... Did she just rescue herself using the Power of Love? That's an odd thing to see in a horror podcast
"Martin has confirmed that over the last decade, there have been several travellers reported missing in Genoa, but averaged out, no more than is normal for a city of its size. I donât quite know whether this means that few travellers go missing in Genoa, or that a lot of travellers go missing everywhere else." Thanks! I hate it!
"Iâm curious about this coffee shop stranger Ms. Nunis met. His description puts me in mind of Gerard Keay" :)
"His words were a warning that I cannot trust Sasha" YES! Is this going where I think it's going??
"Or is Michael simply messing with my head, as indeed seemed to be the entire purpose of his visit?" Nooo, you were on the right track! Go back!
"Tim says you were watching his house." Hey, Jon???? What the hell???
"I think Elias just moved to the top of my suspect list. I wonder what heâs hiding" Ah, yes, my boss wants me to stop stalking my subordinates, so he's definitely hiding something. Sound logic, Jon
The Umbrella Academy - S1x02 - Liveblog
That makes no sense, old man
Was she not there when he explained it to the others? I honestly can't remember
Oh yeah, that makes sense, time travel messed up his mind and that's how he already knew your dad was dead. And also about your book. Sure, that makes complete sense
Can you just hug your brother? Like, Vanya pov, either she's right and he's a thirteen year old who had a very difficult day or she's wrong and he hasn't seen her in decades, one way or another she really should hug him, please
I just noticed they're the same height and that's really funny to me for some reason
Ooh, that seems like a fun dynamic. Like Batman and detective Gordon, but they're also exes and Gordon is done with Batman's bulshit
To be fair, I think all the siblings should see a therapist, so congrats on Vanya for being ahead of the curve
Ouch, that was uncalled for. They always go for the throat, don't they? Yikes
They all need so much therapy
The name seems familiar, did he mention her on episode 1? I think he did
...oh
I mean, isolation is pretty rough on people, I thought he was doing this well because he wasn't the last living person on earth but, uhhh...
Well, I saw Cast Away, so... At least Delores looks human-ish? Makes sense that he'd imprint on her, all thing considered
This reunion was really heartfelt, though, considering one of the parts is a flipping mannequin
You know? I came into this show knowing people don't like Luther a whole lot, but I kinda like the guy. Is this an unpopular opinion?
.
TMA 47 - Liveblog
Ooh, another live statement, those are always good
"I turned it, and as soon as I did so the door swung open. I didnât need to pull it at all. It opened slowly, but deliberately, like⌠it was keen for me to go inside." Oh, I do not like this at all
"But after what felt like miles, I finally decided that taking one of the turns⌠it, it couldnât make things worse." Yeah, you definitely just jinxed yourself
"although it often seemed like I couldnât stop shivering, like I was cold." Maybe you were in shock? I think that's a symptom of shock and this entire situation sounds like a nightmare (edit: looked up symptoms of shock and I was wrong, that's not one of them, so maybe it was a response to fear?)
"NOT!SASHA" booooo
"The distorted Michael?" Oh, that guy! I forgot about him!
"Do you even know theyâre lying to you?" Come on Jon, put your paranoia to good use and take the hint please I need someone to realise that's not Sasha
"What a fffascinating question. Does your hand in any way own your stomach?" Hhhhhhhhhnggggg he's so creepy
"[laugh] âŚyes⌠ah⌠did you notice which door she left through? [continues laughing quietly]" yikes, that poor woman
"Iâm normally neutral, yes. But the loss of this place would have unbalanced the struggle too early. Iâm keen to see how it progresses." Well that's not ominous at all
The Umbrella Academy- S1x01 - Liveblog (part 2)
(When I decided to liveblog this I did not think I was going to make a single episode into multiple posts. Then again I also hadn't known the episodes were about 1h long, so... ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ)
The Umbrella Academy -S1x01 - Liveblog (part 1)
I've wanted to watch this show for a while now and my friend says it's good so I guess I'm doing that
TMA 46 - Liveblog
"He didnât reply to this, nor to my casual inquiry as to whether he was studying demonology, or the occult." Well, that isn't ominous at all đ
"It was like just before a storm breaks - that sharp smell in the air." This seems vaguely familiar...
"He was interested in spiritualism, history of witchcraft, anything mystical, especially from before 1850." This doesn't seem to fit the cult we already heard off, so unless there's a third cult (which is possible but might get too convoluted) this is probably something else. Maybe something supernatural happened to Michael in the past?
"It was the only time I would ever smell it inside, and when I did, Mike would just stop whatever he was doing and leave immediately. He wouldnât run. Heâd just leave." Huh, that's weird
"Whenever he was in, the lightbulbs in my shop would burn brighter." Yeah, it's definitely either of the cults, from what I remember
"It was February when I got the Leitner book." cursed book cursed book cursed bOOK CURSED BOOK
Oh, the book definitely killed her
"Most of it was in languages I didnât know, but I could make out the words âaltiora,â âvertigo,â and âthe vast"" Is he trying to summon something?
"I say âpresumablyâ about his jumping almost a hundred feet to his death because, when I went out, I could find no body at the base of the tower." Did he get eaten by the sky like that other guy? I think it was from early or mid season 1
"Could his exposure to The Boneturnerâs Tale have catalyzed an interest in Jurgen Leitner?" Ooh, I didn't remember he was there! (To be fair I did stop listening to this podcast for, like, half a year đ )
"It is a shame that Ex Altiora was burned in the end." Wait, is this the OG cursed book? The one Gerard burned? :o I didn't remember the name, oops
TMA 45 - Liveblog
"now as soon as the bag was placed inside, every mozzie in there would descend on it immediately, all at once" oh. Oh. I see where this is going ( >︚<)
"He never got the chance" and here it comes
"There was no way to count them, though, as they swarmed onto poor Neil" yeah, I figured that's what was going to happen, but still. Mosquitos are the worst. Poor guy
Ew ew ew ew ew ew
* sigh * Jon is just going to keep shooting in the dark until something lands, isn't he? Hopefully that means he'll notice something off with (not!)Sasha sometime soon
TMA 44 - Liveblog
Gertrude??
Oh, wait, wasn't there an episode in season 1 that mentioned a russian circus?
Yeah, I think it is the circus from that episode! The woman's grandfather was part of it when he was younger, I think? If I'm right, then the sounds she's hearing should from the calliope
Undead tiger?
No, not undead, then. Mechanical? A bit odd for the time period, but then again, after all the stuff that I've already heard, it shouldn't be that much of a stretch
Huh, her reaction to the circus is a bit like Jon's whenever there was a Leitner in the statement, just... Accepting that it was a thing that happened and that it was supernatural. Took me a bit by surprise, I guess I'm too used to Jon "skeptic-unless-undeniable" Sims
"They do not appear to have been disturbed, but the drawer in which I kept them is slightly more open than I left it" huh, that's interesting. I still don't think any of the assistants murdered Gertrude, so I wonder what whoever did this was up to?
