anyway richie sleeps over at the denbrough’s probably 4-5 nights a week
bill knows it’s because richie’s home life is Rough but they never talk about it. like? bill probably knows going to the tozier’s isn’t something to get excited about but he doesn’t know the full extent of it bc richie always deflects if it comes up in conversation
richie only goes home at this point to do laundry and get more clothes and things like that. he prob keeps some stuff stashed in a spare drawer at bill’s.
when richie first started sleeping over Constantly bill was like . ‘if you want a bed you can use georgie’s room’ but he Refused and rightly so
so he’s usually on a sleeping bag on the floor
but 2-3 times a week he’ll wake up from a nightmare and crawl into bill’s bed bc let’s be REAL he always felt safe when big bill was around
he likes to bury his face in his back . don’t ask me why he just loves ? the closeness i suppose
sometimes when sharon comes up to wake them up for school only to find that they’ve been full on snuggling in their sleep

because at home richie probably gets smacked around by his mom a lot. nothing horrible -- she didnt beat the shit out of him -- but a slap there, backed into a corner here. hella verbal abuse.
so when that happens richie feels trapped and his words die in his throat? and instead he just gets this indescribable anger that just builds because he hates silence and he hates that he can’t fight back
so when someone roughtly his size and age wants to pick a fight he’s itching to hit back !!! he needs to let it all out somehow some way !!!
sidenote but richie tozier screams at trains when they go by so jot that down
after IT was over he and bill took a train schedule and would scream at the 11:10 and 11:37 freight trains as they roared by
anyway ! when richie’s not fighting bill he’s stupid in love with him . like sickeningly so
he loves anything and everything bill draws and when he gets into writing more richie loves all of that too
once richie was like ‘are u gonna write me a poem like ben did for bev since you’re a /writer/ now?’ and bill said ‘NO thats stupid and anyway i dont write that kind of stuff’
bill later that night: what rhymes with ‘bespectacled asshole’
at school richie pulls bill into the janitor’s closet just 2 smooch and it’s all fun and games til the janitor actually comes and opens the door
when bill still had a crush on richie his stutter always got worse whenever he was around, but after they started dating it’s improved greatly
richie: wow u didn’t stutter but then again i just like watching ur lips
