So true! One of the many, many things I hate about what the show has become is their attitude of "it's just a comedy-it's Shameless!" except when it's not. Putting a person with a mental illness in prison just...isn't funny. And, what? They didn't get enough backlash and outright hate when they stuck Mickey in prison (another emotionally compromised person), now they're going to give Ian similar treatment, with the added bonus of showing us what he's going through in there for at least 2 episodes?
