So based on what you told us about Mia and Afton’s relationship, it sounds to me that Mia hides her true personality around people, including her fiancée so she appears more stoic. But when she sees something she likes her true bubbly personality comes out?
That’s correct 🥲 The only ones who get to see her true personality, aside from Max, Francis and Izaack, are her students, so Anastacha also knows her true self
When Muffinstars Align

I take a deep breath as I look up at the door. It's large, much larger than the door to my previous house. 'How could anyone live here alone?' I think to myself as I place my suitcase on the ground and knock on the door.
This house had belonged to my mother, and I've visited it before. I just never thought it would belong to me. I always thought of this place as a family house, for all of us. Not just myself...
A maid opens the door, pulling me out of my thoughts. "Lady Mia!" She says with a slightly panicked tone. "You're three days early!"
"I am? I swear Mandy said it would be ready by Monday..." I reply, perplexed. I grab a letter from my pocket and skim over the contents, trying to find a date.
"No, she said Thursday. But come in, you look cold!" she guides me into the drawing room, and I sit on a sofa next to the fireplace. "Do you need help with anything, Lady Mia?"
"No thank you, I have all my essentials here." I smile and look into the fire.
"I'll leave you to warm up then." the maid leaves the room, and I grab a book from my bag.
It's my favourite book. Sure, it's a cliche story, but I absolutely adore it. It's the classic story of a princess in a tower, and a knight coming to save her. It's simple, but the way the story is told feels so magical. I wish I had a knight in shining armour to save me...
I'm not even in any danger. I think I'm just lonely.
I decide to skip to the best part of the story. The brave knight runs along the bridge to the base of the tower, the book reads. But just as he was about to throw the hook up to the window, he hears a roar from behind. The large, blue-scaled and icy dragon had crept up from behind, and is now standing on the bridge. The knight draws his sword and faces the beast, ready to fight.
This part always makes me so happy.
"Sir knight, you need to be careful!" the princess calls out from her tower, her long hair blowing out the window. "The dragon's extremely powerful!"
The knight grabs an arrow, wrapping a bandage around it and dousing it with alcohol. "Don't worry, I got this." he lights the arrow on fire and shoots it at an ice crystal on the dragon's back.
The dragon's movement slows down as the fire from the arrow melts the ice. 'So that's how you do it...' the princess thinks. 'I've been doing it wrong the whole time.' she stares at her bow, which was leaning on the wall next to the window.
"Throw me some bandges!" the princess exclaims. "I can help you!" she waves her bow out the window.
"Do you know how to use that?" the knight asks. The princess shoots an arrow at the wall next to the knight. "That answers my question." the knight throws a roll of bandages to the princess, and she wraps them around the arrows and douses them in alcohol like the knight did. She lights the arrow with a match and shoots it at the dragon.
Together they slay the fearsome ice dragon, and the knight climbs up the tower to meet the princess.
"It's you... The one who sent me all those letters." the princess smiles. "It's finally you." she runs up and hugs the knight.
"Yes, princess. It's me..." he removes his helmet and kisses her.
I always melt reading this book... It's so heartwarming and romantic, exactly what I need. I often felt lonely in my manor, and that was before I moved here. It's so large, it almost feels like I'm the only one here. I never really conversed with the maids at my old home, but I never really felt the need to. It was a small enough house to not feel too lonely. I could get lost in my books, and not have to worry about the troubles on the other side of the door. But now, it's different. I feel alone, and my books can't help.
I hear a knock at the door.
"Come in!"
The same maid from earlier walks in. "There's someone at the front door, they said they have a message for you."
"Thank you. I'll go talk to them." I put my book on the coffee table next to the fireplace and stand up, walking to the front door. There I see a waddle dee wearing an official looking hat.
"Lady Mia Muffinstar, you are cordially invited to meet with king Dedede to talk over snacks." the way the waddle dee says snacks so formally makes me giggle a bit.
"When's that?" I ask.
"Tomorrow, at 3:00." the waddle dee replies.
"I'll make sure to be there!" I curtsy and close the door. I then grab my suitcase and bag from the drawing room and start walking up the stairs to my bedroom.
"Do you need help with that, Lady Mia?" a different maid asks. "I'd be more than happy to escort these to your quarters!"
"Yes please, thank you so much. I've been carrying this for the whole trip." I give my suitcase to the maid, but I continue to hold my bag. It doesn't weigh much, and it has to be held at a specific point or it spills open.
"I'll carry this to your quarters then." the maid walks up the stairs, and I follow suit. When I get up the stairs, I see the maid has put the suitcase on the bed and is putting away my clothes in the drawers and wardrobe. "Lady Mia! I hope you don't mind me putting these away for you."
"I don't mind at all, thank you for doing that!" I place my bag on the floor next to my bed. It's so strange calling this my bed, since I always knew this as my mother's bed. But now it's mine... Sometimes I forget that she's gone. I can still hear her voice in the halls, as if she's still here. I give a bittersweet smile as I lay my hand on the pink silk duvet. "I still can't believe this is all mine now..."
"I know... It seems like only yesterday Lady Madison was here. It's hard to believe she's gone."
"She was very brave... I'm proud to be her daughter."
"Okay, I'm done. Do you need anything else?"
"I'll have some juice, please." I smile.
"Okay, I'll fetch you some juice."
"Thank you."
The maid walks out of the room. I lie down on the bed and look at the canopy above it. 'I'll have something to do tomorrow,' I think. 'But I don't even know anything about this king. What do I expect? Will he try to hurt me? Or does he truly just want to talk?' I continue to stare at the canopy, thinking far too much about tomorrow. I start singing a song...
"They know that it's almost, they know that it's almost over..." leave the city. One of my favourite songs. "They know that it's almost, they know that it's almost over..."
"Nice singing, Lady Mia." the maid from earlier says, placing a glass of apple juice on my bedside table.
"Thanks..." I smile at the maid.
"You're welcome. I have your drink..."
"Thank you." we both look at each other awkwardly. "You know, we could always talk if you want."
"No thanks, I never have anything interesting to talk about."
I smile. "Okay. If you don't want to talk, we don't have to."
The maid nods and leaves the room.
"Wait."
"What is it, Lady Mia?"
"What's your name?"
"Oh, I'm Imogen."
"Nice to meet you, Imogen."
Imogen smiles and closes the door.
And I'm alone again... Left to stare at the canopy.
...
...
...
...
Nah, this is boring. I need something to look at other than just pink. I rip the top of the canopy down, grab my paints and stamps, and start stamping rainbow stars onto the underside of the canopy.
I step back to admire my work.
"That looks pretty good... Now to get it back up." I sigh and look at the bed. "How am I gonna do that?"
I decide to ring the bell and ask a maid for help. A girl with short black hair, the same girl who opened the front door for me, walks into my room.
"Lady Mia. You rang?" she asks.
"Yes, I did. I need some help putting my canopy back up, I did a bit of decorating and I have no clue how I'm gonna get it back up on my own." I reply. "Can you please help me?"
"Of course I can. Okay, so you flip it over... Okay, now grab those hooks up there and pull them onto the edge of the canopy. And..." once I attach the hooks to the end of the canopy, it's pulled up onto the top. "Perfect!l
"Thank you so much... Uhh..."
"It's Odette." she smiles and curtseys.
"Thanks, Odette. Thanks a ton."
"You're welcome, lady Mia." Odette curtseys and leaves the room. I lie back down, looking at the stars I painted on the canopy. I smile at the bright colours, thinking it looks much nicer than before. I grab a long pillow and hold it close to me. I often hold pillows like this, imagining that they're the knight from my fairytales, and I've just been rescued from a tower...
I hold the pillow closer, still imagining my knight in shining armour that had come to save me. I wasn't sad, nor was I crying, I just needed a hug...
I continued to hold the pillow until I eventually fell asleep. The next morning, I'm awoken by my alarm going off. I press the top of the clock and turn off the noise and immediately put on my light pink dress and shoes. I pack my purse with everything I need (which isn't a lot, just some perfume, a fan and a book), and start walking to King Dedede's castle. It's a nice walk, very peaceful and relaxing. Through the meadow, then the forest, and past the lake... It's all so bright and colourful, and I'm so happy that this is my home.
And finally, I make it to the castle. It fits into the scenery perfectly, standing high on the hill, overlooking the kingdom. I walk up to the door, and before I could knock, it opens in front of me, revealing the interior of the palace. Red carpet lines the centre of the room atop soft yellow floors that match the pillars on each side. A waddle dee guides me through a warm red corridor to the courtyard, which has all sorts of brightly coloured flowers, reminiscent of those found in Muffinstar Manor. And there in the centre of the garden, was a table with a light blue tablecloth decorated with polka dots. Waddle dees were placing sweet and savoury treats onto the table, and the sheer amount of different snacks made my head spin.
But there, sat on one of the chairs, was a blue penguin, wearing a red and yellow hat with a matching shirt, and a red cloak.
There's no way that's the king...
"Come, sit down! These snacks aren't gonna eat themselves!" the penguin says enthusiastically, gesturing to the seat opposite. I sit down and place some fondant fancies and a few doughnut bites on my plate.
"So... You're King Dedede?" I ask hesitantly.
"The one and only! And you're Lady Mia?" King Dedede says with a smile.
"Yes, I am. You knew my mother, right? She's said a few things about you."
"Yes, I knew Lady Madison." He puts a brownie bite in his mouth and swallows quickly. "A brave woman, it was a shame that we lost her in battle."
"Yeah... I definitely miss her. She was wonderful... I'm still comprehending that she's gone. It still feels like she's here with me..."
"I can imagine how hard it must be. She talked about you a lot, her "darling daughter Mia," as she put it. You two must be close."
"Yeah, we were. I was the eldest sister, so I was the one to carry on her legacy. It's quite a bit of pressure, especially since I can't fight, but I feel like I'm handling it well."
"A daughter of Lady Madison that can't fight? That's surprising!"
"Molly's the warrior. I never really liked getting my hands dirty, so I just stayed in my study reading fairytales."
"That's certainly one way to spend your time. So, how's your time been here in my kingdom?"
I laugh. "I've lived here my whole life! But as for how I've been since I moved to Muffinstar Manor, it's been nice. I only moved in yesterday, and I wasn't even supposed to be here until Thursday!"
"That's strange, I was told you moved in last week!" King Dedede says with his flipper under his beak. "I guess nobody got the timing right!"
"You can say that again!"
We continued talking for hours, always finding more things to talk about. But then I heard the clock chiming...
"Ten o'clock? I didn't even realize! Oh my goodness, I need to get back to my house!" I quickly grab my bag and stand up from my seat. "Thank you so much for having me over for snacks, king Dedede. I'll see you around?"
"See you around, Lady Mia!"
I quickly run out of the castle and dash through the path back home, almost like Cinderella. I wish I had a pumpkin carriage like her, I thought. It would make this so much easier- WOAH!
I accidentally trip over someone's foot while lost in thought.
"Lo siento," a smooth Spanish voice says. "I wasn't looking where I was going."
"It's okay, neither was I." I reply, looking up from the floor I had just fallen face first into, and I see a blue puffball with white eyes, that slowly turned yellow as he calmed down. He's wearing a silver mask, and blue and gold shoulder guards. On his back is a blue and purple cape that swishes slightly in the wind.
He's a knight...
"Woah..."
"Are you alright?" he holds out a gloved hand to me.
"Yeah, I'm alright. It's just a bit of dirt..." I brush the dust off my dress.
"Ah, okay." The knight looks up at me. "Senorita Muffinstar?"
"So you already know me?"
"Si. We have met in battle before, have we not?"
"Oh- Ohhhh!! No, you're thinking of Madison Muffinstar! No, I'm her daughter Mia."
"Ah... Sorry for getting you two mixed up."
"No, it's okay! It doesn't bother me, really!"
"I'll be on my way then." he starts walking the other way.
"Hey sir, I didn't catch your name."
"Meta Knight. My name is Meta Knight."
"Nice to meet you, Meta Knight." I curtsy and start walking back home. Once I open the door, I run to my room, flopping on my bed and kicking my legs.
"Oh my goodness, I just talked to an actual knight!" I squeal into my pillow.
I pick up my storybook and start reading the first page.
Once upon a time...
