I sometimes believe that bad races teach us more about ourselves than good races. 🏃🏽‍♀️With the #miamihalfmarathon , my mileage wasn’t there.. it’s been a cold winter and I’m not a treadmill runner. And then my knee started hurting me on Mile 8 from old volleyball injuries reminding me why I need to restart @kayla_itsines #bbg this week... 😰But I never once felt like quitting. I knew I’d finish. Bad races and bad days help illuminate your inner strength and the fighter within. 👊🏻 My 2:26 #halfmarathon PR about 8 months ago feels forever away now but I want to find it again, and beat it. Over the next few months, I just need to find that inner fighter again to #bebetter everyday, not just in #running but in every aspect of my life. Just like how I learn more from my mistakes than what I do correctly, bad races and bad days remind us of our inner strength to power through the struggle. 🙏🏻My next #halfmarathon is the #LivermoreHalf with @mrsdilts_0405 in #NapaValley and then the @illinoismarathon in April. Who else will be there? 💃🏼 (at Chicago O'Hare International Airport)
