Need to coin a term that is a specific subset of Sequelitis (The tendency of a well-received work to spawn many inferior sequels) but specifically describes the way that the Sequelitis-Spawns have to *retcon the endings and established themes of their originator in order for their plots to function* in a pale imitation of their predecessor.
