WIP Wednesday

I was about to post this right now, but it is currently Saturday, so I queued this for the upcoming Wednesday instead, which will be the day this is posted. It's not often I do WIP Wednesdays since I like to harbor secrets, but I'm never one to turn down a tag game/challenge, so here I am. This is a one-shot I aim to finish at some point, but I checked the last time I edited it, and it was back in late 2016, so this is 17 y/o me's writing you'll be peeking at. Enjoy!

The Shooting Guard took a look at Akashi’s face. That enchanted yet nostalgic gleam in his eyes, his position relaxed, and his red hair being caressed by the wind. Mibuchi had never seen anyone look so ridiculously majestic just by sitting with one leg crossed over the other and staring at cherry blossoms. He believed that Akashi always had that air about him, regardless of whether he changed or not. And as the other two Uncrowned Kings went on with their own conversation, Mibuchi had already tuned them out.

He was beginning to think the sight of their captain was more striking than the cherry blossoms.

The real reason why Akashi is single is because Mibuchi would get rid of any competition. In his eyes no one is good enough for Akashi and he will make sure everyone knows how underqualified they are.

He will try to scare away anyone acting too familiar with akashi, his teammates got a pass but anyone else risks his wrath.

The reason he doesn't make a move on Akashi himself (aside from showering him with love and Valentine's Day gifts) is because he takes his job as vice-captain very seriously and doesn't want to risk the team's stability . When he graduates from high school, he decides to wait one more year for Akashi to graduate as well.

Summary:

This weekend, Mibuchi's going to introduce her super-supportive, loving boyfriend to her parents. Her only problem? He doesn't actually exist.

That is, until Akashi agrees to play the part of her pretend-partner. Obviously her old feelings for him won't get in the way of anything, and of course he'd never really feel that way towards her, after all. For sure. Definitely.
