On Saturday I went to pick up my new surfboard with my family, and of course Buzz Lightyear came along to test this board 👨🚀 It felt great to reconnect with a shaper and friend, and to absorb a bit more of his knowledge about surfing and surfboard design.
I picked up my new board from @micasurfboards, and it immediately felt like something shaped with real intention. MICA’s years of experience and his evolution from a local craftsman to a respected Portuguese shaper show in every detail. The lines, the balance, and the way each board is built for progression.
Bringing home one of his boards feels special. It carries his knowledge, dedication, and a lifetime spent around waves and resin. I’m excited to take it out for its first session and feel all that experience come alive in the water
