"Wild Wave" by Michael Bernhardt
"This was a one time shot. As the thunderstorm moved from land to water it left a small opening in the sky for the sun to shine through, which landed right on top of this wave as it exploded upward from Lake Michigan. I only adjusted the contrast & brightness to highlight it."
Michael Bernhardt
Milwaukee-based Michael Bernhardt shot this stunning photograph of a perfectly-timed storm near Lake Michigan. It captured the majesty of nature — just before it came to an end, it created giant waves of water towards the breakwater wall, which then bounced back towards open waters, resulting in the picture. What a sight.
