covers are usman!lance, fransisco!sly, jaydon!augustine, and jourdan!gregory (the board also had a mistake and said it was lois!juliet while actually being rachel)

act 1

- there was an audio delay with the pit in i want it that way but the players managed to fix it at the end of the song

- rachel did this amazing opt up at the end of baby one more time

- francisco and naima are incredible capulets together they served so much cunt

- nick almost fell off the bed when they flopped onto it

- also this was the first time i think ive seen a verona group (juliet anne may and angelique) that were all relatively the same height which is funny

- during all of the show me love stuff when they’re in paris, corey just sits and sulks on the carriage

- mateus was INTENTLY focused on their gameboy, barely looked at lance while talking to him

- usman kept hip thrusting while talking about fucking frankies mom

- kathryn put their hands on nicks back after the bouncer called them all ladies

- nick already had their crown off before meeting frankie

- NICK AND RACHEL DID THE PINKIE SWEAR THING AFTER SAYING THEY WERE BEST FRIENDS BUT RACHEL THEN KISSED THEIR FIST LIKE??? ADORABLE I LOVE THEM

- mateus is also like the most nervous frankie ever he is terrified of things

- some of the players come and watch the end of overprotected

- mateus does a robot dance when he calls themself dangerous

- they also did a thumbs up towards the audience when he kissed rachel

- usman is such an energetic lance to the point where he almost fell of the bed when rolling on it

- he also did puppy dog eyes when he said “and you are back”

- corey and teal were just being super duper silly during the tango scene

- camille did the “does he mean you?” thing to jourdan when the young man bit was brought up

- nick held mateus’ cheek during kag

- also their kag is like putting the most confident may and the most anxious wet cat frankie together and i adored it

- at point also they had their arms around each other and i was screaming internally (they might need their own post tbh)

- josh picked up teal in it’s my life??

- michael romeo kept popping up and down while juliet and anne talked during it’s my life

act 2

- michael did a ballet jump across the stage in lmlyd

- michael started copying benvolio’s gestures during since u been gone

- whattaya want from me was just really intense and nick was so upset by the end i felt like exploding

- during problem michael hit the highest notes ive heard any romeo hit ever that was crazy

- kathryn and michael had a staring contest before he tried to steal the hat and then he covered his face with said hat

- mateus just seemed?? really scared of corey but also really tired of him during the scene where they assemble the band

- teal’s ttwii is amazing like her voice is so cool i love her

- usman and michael were like. peacocking? near each other before everybody? idk how to describe it it was funny

- when corey called him frankie deboi mateus flat out screamed “DUBOIS!!” in his face and it killed me

- while mateus read his vows and tilted their arm weird rachel tried to tilt her head to read his vows too

- for shape of my heart nick and mateus were just holding onto each other and hugging a lot. like at one point nick just wrapped their arms around his left arm it was adorable

- roar sure was roaring tonight once again it was my “try not to cry challenge” (i survived barely rachel was fucking KILLING it)

- not a show thing but during bows mateus dipped nick down before they both ran downstage which was very cute

& Juliet Tour 4/5/25 Notes

matinee

- lois!juliet

- henry has very sparkly arm bracers for blow

- they cut the SMTM flower crowns

- gregory and richard are swapped for the romeo crew bit with juliet during SUBG

- “yes love that!” “yaeeees” from corey

- corey just screaming after the players go “I never wanna hear you say”

- corey doing a fun riff on the 2nd to last “tell me why”

- “alright anne” *teal giggles* “what would happen in your play”

- kenny with the player page in his mouth during the scene after LTL

- lois!juliet is very grounded and I love that

- lois’ voice is very rich

- I love the tour harmonies at the beginning of SMTM, they feel more acapella

- nell is in the bway richard spot for “all of your time spent keeps us alive”

- naima and usman were doing absolutely ridiculous voices as the capulets and it took me out it was sooo funny

- kenny kicking his butt as he rolls out the coffin for SMTM

- nick pointing judgmentally at teal on “ewww”

- corey doing a really silly baby voice on “[you’re all] in your 20s”

- teal doing a laugh before blow

- “me and my friends weren’t on the guest list”

- very long and sad silence between “that’s when I realize” and “i’m not a girl”

- lois gesturing on “frankie da boi” and mateus doing the same motion but on “no” and stretching it out into two syllables to match the gesture

- dion and augustine are the dancers with juliet at the beginning of confident

- mateus doing the robot on “and i'm dangerous”

- kenny doing the same blowing a kiss thing that daah does during the confident playoff

- the way kathryn and paul-jordan did “i remember a little french” “who you calling little” was really cute

- kathryn’s “your wife” didn't get laughs because of how she said the line so sadly

- kathryn yelping “looking back [is what brought me to your bed]”

- mateus having a more confident and excited “so you do wanna marry me!” as opposed to “so you do wanna marry me?”

- “AND I CAN’T GO BACK BECAUSE frankieandiareengaged”

- “but to lose all my sen-tennn-ces” where sentences was a triplet but also on the off beat

- corey twirling away on “present laughter merriment and murth” and then humming before doing a demonic voice for “my thoughts be bloody of be nothing worth”

- mateus cutting off may’s line of “but you know that im not a girl, right? If that what you-” before they even said “girl”

- “so you have nothing to compare it to”

- “I know in my heart of hearts *laughs* … heart of… hearts” as if he had literally just come up with the phrase on the spot or he was just realizing that he was in fact the one who came up with it

- michael doing a fun riff on the first “[and i'm just gonna do it] my way”

- mateus doing an opt down on “i did it my way”

- michael doing a leap on “cause ive never been so high”

- both of the capulets being the only players dancing in response to “am i sexual”

- “If you have stronger feelings for me and i have stronger feelings for you” “may it’s not about-” “we’ll find the friar and marry in secret”

- thee saddest “with me?” from nick

- mateus leaning in to kiss nick again before “us girls we are so magical” 

- paul-jordan pointing upwards on the “come” of “hopefully not indicative of things to come”

- paul-jordan “we’re not doing accents” is very good cause he does just use his real accent

- corey and mateus doing the stark arm wave and mateus making a noise and looking super uncomfortable as he did it

- nick going "WHAAAT" after teal throws the glitter

- for the boop, corey did a fart noise

- the old woman next to me googling “is shakespeare gay?” during intermission

eve

- lois!juliet again

- kenny and ish doing the choreo of the beginning of i hope I get it from a chorus line as the curtain rises before IML

- after “i didn’t know he had a wife” kenny turning to the audience and mouthing “DOES he have a wife?” 

- ish taking player page out of kenny’s mouth in the clump before BOMT

- kenny doing the old augustine hand raise into one finger

- corey seductively taking off his vest during IML

- kenny mimicking corey on “see your body sway” 

- kenny doing half of a hand heart hand during the IWITW (reprise) and corey finishing it with him

- there was a person yelling in the audience during fuckin perfect and it came very close to calling a show stop but lois and kathryn just very awkwardly pushed through the scene

- teal and lois doing the macarena during blow

- lance goes offstage to change during the wedding

- while doing the pre everybody stretches, michael just goes “and he said I was pigeon toed” very loudly but with his mic off

- nella!eleanor and jj!richard matching with their costume colors for the SML couple dance and it looked really nice 

- nick was angry crying by the end of WWFM

- after “after this we should rewrite all your plays” teal started quietly listing different shakespeare shows that they could rewrite

- michael does the IML kick late the same way liam does it

- camille being late with the backpack so they just had to do the selfie super quick

- jj and naima chatting as they set the bench for WWFM

- mateus being super disgusted on “you wore this on your wedding night?”

- yoshi doing this cool walking in place move during the map bit

- nick reaching into the top of their jumpsuit checking for glitter after anne throws the glitter

- for the boop, corey did a meow

- kenny being sad when anne says “seems like a pretty important message to leave to a messenger”

- “ah ha. ah huh. a hahahah. you can’t be in it” 

- nick leaning on kathryn’s shoulder during “for the death of tybalt and mercutio, and of course your parents’ first choice, the nobleman paris” 

- “feel how sweaty I am” corey, very quietly “no”

- corey freaking out on “a play with no conflicts, obstacles or complications” and teal trying to reassure him with “I like this play my love” 

- the drummer going crazy on the act 2 opening instrumental 

- “cause it’s true i’ve been romantic with other people”

- kenny waiting for anne to say “french onion soup” and getting very excited about it once she did 

- “you told me to be confident and i’m trying”

& Juliet NA Tour 9/25/24 Notes

- if I say an actor’s name that’s an acting choice if I say a character’s name that’s a tour change/tour track thing (afaik)

- confident is flipped, frankie does his verse on stage left instead of right

- lord and lady cap swap during SMTM (lady cap on stage right of lord cap instead of left but they both still enter from stage right). also since there’s no lift they don’t sit on the coffin they just sort of walk off stage left

- they roll the coffin on stage for SMTM

- shakespeare walks behind the juliet sign and enters that way for LTL

- completely different romeo blocking during BOMT, he enters farther back, goes sits on the tomb like usual then gets off the tomb, walks in a circle with the set being spun, then walks out the back

- dion track is a mix of rumour and imogen

- different music for rumour solo

- mateus is the most autistic frankie ever

- nick takes off their crown before may bumps into frankie then mateus puts it back on their head

- maycois slow dancing during KAG, at some point after the second kiss they do that thing people do when they slow dance back to front with their arms around each other

- gregory spins the carriage manually but it’s barely noticeable unless you’re looking for it

- the bed doesn’t spin so the domino choreo spacing is different

- richard and eleanor do the SML couple dance in front of the carriage and end on stage left instead of right

- dion does the imogen line “did my heart love til now”

- frankie hopping over the dj station to get to the virginal

- mateus does a lot of crossing over his arms while playing the virginal

- a small crowd appears to watch frankie and juliet jam together

- no coffin during IML

- michael does the running in place thing

- michael peaking out behind the set during the IML juliet and anne part and doing a gay little wave to her

- lucy is the sign girl now instead of richard

- augustine does the mist for soliloquy but it’s like a full on fog machine

- different harmony stacking a lot of places (LTL, SMTM, SUBG, and problem were the most noticeable ones)

- lucy is no longer in the middle during the “he used to come to my balcony all the time” part of SMTM she’s on stage left

- mateus and nick is a lethal combination

- no doors for the curtain so people just walk off into the wings

- may, anne, and angelique going “girl” after juliet says she’s gonna be 14

- corey is a lot more antagonistic of a shakespeare

- mateus mimicing rachel gesturing for “frankie da boi” on “no!”

- mateus insane riff on “oh yeah”

- virginal gets scooted on on wheels (then off the same way)

- juliet hands frankie a drink before confident, I have no idea where it came from it just sort of appeared

- teal is such a mom

- angelique hides behind the bed at one point before lance wakes up

- choreo and blocking for the second half of KAG is completely different

- lance enters from stage right before blow

- dion does the rumour dance during blow

- dion does the map feature

- set design for the dubois house is a flat projection with a ladder but the mini one is placed next to it

- halfway through the soliloquy the choreo gets flipped

- michael ballet leap turn thing on “I don’t care” during LMLYD

- there’s a bench that frankie and lance sit on before WWFM

- also the tree is replaced by a lamppost

- all the players stop dancing and singing after “am I sexual” and it’s very funny

- the ferris wheel has been replaced by a moon and it was very shaky and unstable looking, it gave me so much anxiety

- rip gay gossip table (lucy dances with benvolio and dion dances with augustine)

- romeo doesn’t take off his jacket before “ello brothers”

- the roar scaffolding appears during the blackout

- michael romeo it is his first day on earth I won’t elaborate

- ALAYM beginning is a lot more “a cappella group” sounding

- nick and mateus hug into SOMH

- angelique enters farther back before OMT

- problem blocking and partial choreo is different (lucy is stage right now)

- shakespeare not being onstage before “the carrige driver told us everything” like he and anne ran back onstage to deliver his line then ran back off

- rip the wedding balls they’re all just kinda standing there

- augustine does a one finger raise instead of a full hand during SMTM

- the moon is hovering a few feet off the ground during the dialogue after OMT then lowers down after “I can’t love you romeo”

- IWITW instrumental playing under the shakespeare and anne convo before teenage dream

- “I didn’t know he had a wife” was giving “I slept with him but I swear to god I didn’t know he was married i’m sowwy” it’s like shelby was confessing it

- no lift for romeo out of SUBG so anne just like pushes him off stage on the stage right

- teal struggling slightly to get the quill out on “if only there was a way, oh wait there is”

- nick says mantua like matt does

- different lance choreo on the first “you make me feel like i’m living a teenage dream”

- like last time, actor names are for acting choices, character names are for track stuff

- richard does the hairspray during IML

- nick booping mateus’s nose during KAG

- first time experiencing the stalling knock knock joke

- rachel saying “any…one but my friend” (we now know it’s a conscious decision for her to say anyone instead of anything)

- nick’s “no” in response to “they were all romeo’s exes!” was them not-so-subtly feigning surprise

- teal shoos michael away during IML and he does a gay little wave back because he thinks she’s waving at him

- mateus downs whole bottle before their confident verse

- frankie sneaks behind bar during the set transition

- on “I kissed a boy” nick put their hand to their mouth like they were yelling it to the heavens it was so cute

- kathryn giggling while dancing with nick like she wasn’t being forced to do it she was having fun

- “feel how sweaty I am” was teal grabbing corey’s hand and wiping it across her chest and then he pulled away and shook out his hand to get the sweat off of it

- teal saying “oh what can we do… *gasp* oh wait! I know!” instead of “if only there was a way oh wait there is”

- mickey and minnie kiss for the first KAG kiss

- the exes stay laying on coffin through the whole time the capulets are talking

- player wedding couples: judith/richard eleanor/lucy gregory/augustine dion/henry

- SUBG couples: henry/nell lucy/benvolio richard/judith dion/augustine

- OMT couples: richard/lucy eleanor/henry

- different placements for the CFMF beginning formation, in the front it’s stage left augustine stage right richard, behind richard is gregory, behind augustine is sly and henry is in the back center

- nick had a very angry and hurt “what happened to no regrets?!”

- michael doing a little shimmy as he walks across the stage before everybody

- nella’s benvolio has a new york italian-american accent

- dion is lifted into the air instead of eleanor during the blow chandelier moment

- corey’s soliloquy nose boop was a fart noise

- mateus giving thumbs up with both hands while kissing rachel

- nick touching mateus’ cheek after he returns to them at the beginning of SOMH

- nick sprinting across the stage to mateus on “just don’t give up”

- michael did the backpack motion in IML too early and then had to redo it again for when judith actually gave him the backpack

- lucy starts out with the care bear in OMT and gives it to richard while they’re on the bench and then he takes the tickets and walks around with the bear

- in the bit right after oops, teal enters out of breath chasing corey while he’s holding the quill above his head away from her

- teal’s TTWII ending gave me chills

- I did it my way was mateus standing very awkwardly with their hand like 🤟 next to their face

- as part of the pinky swear nick and rachel kissed their hands as they did it

- sly is where kempe is during the SUBG part where 3 of the romeo crew are with juliet

- the way michael sings the high note in problem is literally a mix of how ben and dan do it

- michael putting a black piece of cloth, possibly a shirt, into his backpack before the LMLYD reprise

- anne and shakespeare stay onstage a tiny bit longer after “and thus she finds her voice”

- corey says “juliet was based on a real historical figure” instead of “juliet is based on a real historical figure”

- mateus saying the last part of “do I still... play the virginal” through gritted teeth

- mateus missed the “hey” of “hey, slow it down”

- I always viewed the romeo fan club as all 3 of them having dated romeo but the tour fan club really felt like judith was the one who dated romeo and gregory and dion were just her besties

- paul-jordan looked like he was having a crisis of self after “we’re not doing accents?!”

- kathryn dropped the “last night” part of “looking back is what brought me to your bed last night”

- the stage doesn’t rise on the second KAG kiss but there is a really cool ripple effect on the projection in the back

- teal says “beginning to chafe” instead of “starting to chafe”

- michael!romeo’s level of stupidity is like the prince from enchanted. like if you took a fictional character out of their story and they only had with them the knowledge from stuff in that story, that would be michael!romeo. he’s constantly realizing and discovering things while also being in a perpetual state of confusion (and I love it so much)

- kathryn!angelique is very much a “teenage dream angelique”. like they’re a parental figure to juliet while still feeling like a bestie to her/young at heart

- really cool shredding on the violin at one point during the problem breakdown
