I love a good bad movie, and 1983′s Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone is an overlooked campy classic. It was crassly timed to come out the weekend before Return of the Jedi, so audiences that were pumped for some space drama would go see it that weekend in anticipation. They did- bumping the previous weekend’s “Blue Thunder” (sweet) off the top, before fading into obscurity never to be seen again.
This was Molly Ringwald’s second movie. Starring Michael Ironside and Ernie Hudson. Also there’s a sex-bot.
