Desde hace 13 años, el fotógrafo londinense Michael Marten ha viajado a varias partes de la costa británica para capturar algo tan natural, pero igual impactante, como el flujo de la marea. La forma en que la atracción lunar o solar afecta las aguas de la Tierra, llega a nosotros esta ocasión a través del lente de este talentoso y dedicado fotógrafo en una serie llamada Sea Change.

La forma en que el paisaje cambia es increíble, dunas en las que la gente paseaba ahora están cubiertas por agua salada, muelles, postes, caminos e incluso montes, se ocultan bajo el mar. Comparar las fotografías que capturan estos dos momentos del movimiento marítimo puede ser fascinante, ya que nos podemos perder en el contraste de objetos, perspectivas y profundidad.

Además de estas fotografías, Michael Marten creó un video que muestra de forma gradual la transición entre bajamar y pleamar, y lo pueden ver aquí.
