To be fair, he also has the best of both worlds. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is there anything else you can tell me about what Michael Poryes said about Hannah Montana? I love that show more than life itself and I'd love to know anything you heard.
Sadly, he didn’t go too much into the show. Those two fun facts were basically it. However, he did speak about Miley. They had quite the strong bond apparently. During the fourth season of HM, Disney wanted to fire Poryes (because he fought against them so much about the quality of the show), and Miley stood up for him saying “I won’t do it if he’s not writing it”.
He also talked about Miley now. He says he’s not exactly approving of the naked on a wrecking ball bit, but he’s not worried about her. He called her smart because of her publicity. She knows what she’s doing and until she gets in the headlines for DUI’s and drug use, he’s not worried about her.
Other than that, my class stuck to talking about screenwriting for TV. He was very informative and totally nice. It was one of the best classes I’ve ever had.
Fun Facts about Hannah Montana
Michael Poryes (writer for Hannah Montana and That's So Raven visited my film class today)
What he said about Miley Stuart's mother in the show (This is all paraphrased):
Student: Why was there no mother in the show? Michael: I'll tell you why the mother had to die... Michael: ... Michael: Budget cuts. She was originally in the pilot episode but Disney didn't want to spend an extra 10,000 on another actor so I had to pull the plug on one of the parents.
What he said about the ending:
Hannah Montana ended (spoiler alert) with Miley having to chose between college and her fame life with Hannah Montana. It was fame vs education and she chose education because that was more important. Disney wanted the entire series to end as a dream. As little 8 year old Miley waking up having this one long dream that she had been Hannah Montana. Micheal didn't let that happen.
