He always referred to the character on the screen as 'he' or 'the boy' or 'that fellow' - he never said 'I did this'. It was always the other guy. As a matter of fact, in real life, he was much like the character on the screen. People used to say to me, 'What's Harold Lloyd really like?'. I always thought he was a lot like the character in his films, because even at an older age, he was very youthful, pretty high speed most of the time, had a great sense of humor and was always up to something - always up to a joke, or pulling a trick on someone.
