TMNTtober 2023 - April
I think 03 April is my favorite of the Aprils. She strikes the perfect balance of cool big sister, mom friend and badass girl power.

Wordoodle - Paint
Been a little while sine I whipped out the colored pencils. One of these days, I'd like to try some painting.
#Figinabageldtiys3000
An entry for @figinabagel 's DTIYS of Rise Mikey and 12 Raph admiring each others' art. I based the boys art of Mona after works by the artists they were named after. Raph's sketch is done from a portrait of an angel by Raphael and Mikey’s graffiti is based on the statue of David by Michelangelo.
Rise of the Phantom Thieves
Based on this cover art for a song from Persona 5 Royal
I wanted to draw the Rise crew with the poses and try to mimic the shading style.
Request: Can I get a imagine of my oc, Akane protecting mikey from the foot and getting hurt in the procees? --- ninjutsumistress
Warning: Scenes depicted in this short story may be disturbing to some viewers. Reader discretion is advised.
Ninjutsumistress, I hope you don't mind the way I played Akane. No one really sends me their character's personalities, so I go about them the way I think they sound like they would act. I hope you understand! Enjoy. :)

They boys said that they were going out for a fun night on the street, but this wasn’t what Akane had expected. It had started out alright. Great actually, if she was going to be honest. They played actual games, like dodge ball (which Akane was the best at, thanks to her superior aerial advantage), and other various recreational exercises. They all somewhat realized Leo was making a training session and a fun night out of it, but in all honesty, no one really minded.
But that’s when it all went sour.
Silently and suddenly, like a storm rolling in from the west, figures in all black with red cloths tied around their foreheads appeared, surrounding the group of five mutants.
“Aw, you have you have to be kidding me!” Mikey whined unhappily, taking his nun-chucks out of their holsters on his belt and swinging them. “Do they have to ruin every fun night?” “Actually, I think they made this ten times funner!” Raphael spun his sais across his fingers with a tight smirk.
Leo and Don followed suit, unsheathing their weapons while Akane retrieved her own twin katana. Dark strands of maroon slowly danced in the wind as she rose above the boys and the Foot Clan, her strong avian wings pushing against gravity.
“I think they’re here to play with us, guys.” Akane grinned, cutting the air with her blades. “Let’s show them how we play ball!”
“Oh yeah!”
It never occurred to them just how difficult it would be to defeat the foot ninja. The more they fought, the harder it became, and no matter how many they took out, double that took their place. Leonardo had called for them to retreat whenever they could, but they were so swamped that they never had a chance.
“Leo!” Mikey wailed, whacking away ninja after ninja. “Bro, I can’t keep this up!” The youngest brother warned. He was at more of a disadvantage than everything except maybe Don; all the ninja with the blades started to go after him and Don on account that they both had blunt weapons.
Leonardo looked over and so did Akane, her icy orbs narrowed. The distraction almost caused Leo to receive a nasty attack from behind, but he spun and blocked just in time. “Kinda busy, Mikey!” He gritted his teeth, concentrating on the fight at hand.
Akane, however, fought her way towards Michaelangelo, her expression a mix of worry and determination. “Hang on Mike!” The mutated girl got closer and closer, dodging swords, blocking attacks and swinging her own swords where she could. Mikey did his best to fend off the attacking foes, but that’s when she saw him; a ninja stood on an air conditioning unit, in his hands, several shruikens just leaving his grasp, aimed at Mikey.
It all felt.. slow. She could see the bladed stars spinning towards the youngest of brothers. Before she realized what she was doing, Akane shot out in front of him, spreading her wings out.
Slice. Slice slice slice slice.
The shruikens pierced her wings, all but one exiting bloody and covered with downy feathers. They other was stuck deep within her right wing.
Letting out a painful shriek, Akane tucked her wings in on themselves and dropping to one knee. Mikey stared up at her with wide eyes, horror spreading across his features. “Akane-!” He gasped, reaching out towards her for a moment. One of the foot came up behind, preparing to attack her, but Mikey reached quickly.
He jumped out, swinging his nun-chucks. “Don’t touch her!” He wailed as he swung.
Before long, the foot clan suddenly retreated, leaving the group of mutants confused but relieved. Mikey turned suddenly, putting his nun-chucks away and rushing over to Akane, who, despite her wounds, had continued to fight the best she could. “Akane!” he placed his hands on her shoulders, staring at her with wide baby blues. “Akane, I’m so sorry! Why did you do that!?” He noticed the piece of metal sticking out of her right wing and gulped. “... Akane, I gotta get that thing out of your wing.” The red-haired girl groaned a bit, the crimson, liquid life mixing in with the sunset and burnt orange colors of her feathers. She didn’t object, however, turning and spreading her wing out as she sheathed her blades. Quite shakily, the orange-clad terrapin reached up, braced himself, then backed away. “I can’t-”
“Let me,” Donnie rushed up, grimacing. “Oh my... Akane...”
“Jeeze, birdy,” muttered Raphael as he approached with Leo. “Just get it out already, Don. Stop staring.”
Donatello ignored Raph’s demanding tone and reached up. “Okay, this is going to hurt. My apologies in advance..” In one swift movement, he pulled the throwing star out of her wing, leaving Akane feeling quite weak in the knees due to the pain.
Mikey rushed in and wrapped his arms around the avian girl, whimpering. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean for you to get hurt!” Akane looked down at him for a moment, then rested her head against his chest. “I wasn’t about to let those hurt you..” She muttered softly.
“Come on, let’s get you home so I can patch your wings up...” Don mumbled, eying her wings. He was surprised how well she was handling the pain. But he supposed, they had all experienced such great magnitudes of pain that almost nothing seemed over-bearing, anymore.
Almost literally clinging to her, Mikey lead Akane down off the roof, followed by his brothers. He’d find a way to make it up to her. Somehow..
