Star Wars: X-Wing: Wraith Squadron or Isard's Revenge First????
I just finished Star Wars: X-Wing: The Bacta War, the 4th X-Wing novel in the series of about 10. Problem I have is, The first four are written by Michael Stackpole. The next 3 (Wraith Squadron, Iron Fist, and Solo Command) are written by Aaron Allston and looking at the cast of characters-at least Wraith Squadron-has almost all new characters.
I really really fell in love with the characters in the fist four novels, namely Corran, Tycho, Mirax, Gavin and even Ooryl and everyone else. It appears at least Corran-obviously Wedge appears so I'm not concerned with him-appears in Wraith Squadron, but I don't know to what extent. I'd like to skip ahead right to Isard's Revenge to read more about Rogue Squadron, and come back to these next three after that book. Isard's Revenge is a lot later on the timeline, books 1-7 are continuous, then there are about 6 books until the timeframe of Isard's Revenge. (this of course isn't the issue because I have read all the books in between 7 and 8).
My real question is will I miss much if I skip Wraith Squadron, Iron Fist and Solo command and go right into Isard's Revenge? Or should I just continue the order of the series with Wraith?
I'm reading the novels exceptionally fast, I set a personal record reading book #3 The Krytos Trap: 2 weeks and 12 hours!! Woohoo, so it's not really an issue of possibly not remembering what happened in The Bacta War (#4) by the time I get to Isard's Revenge (#8).
So yea, basically, those of you who know, because I can't seem to find anything on the subject.. what are your recommendations? :)
Thanks!!!
