Transformation Tuesday - I decided to post this as I know some of my good friends have been struggling emotional and mentally, so I figured I would share this in hopes that it helps not only them, but others too. How does one take their life back when you feel nothing but broken? When you get that feeling of being totally defeated and that your life is going to fall apart.  How does one get back on track? This is something I myself have felt not just once but many times throughout my life pre-transition as well as post-transition.  But one thing I learned in talking to counsellors is that "IT IS OKAY TO FALL APART!" Throughout our lives many of us are often told we have to be perfect all of the time.  Even in magazines we are made to feel that we have to look a certain way or act a certain way. In other words "we need to be someone we are not! No matter who you are - the ordinary Joe/Jane or even the top paying celebrites, or if your born male but feel female or born female but feel male - we aren't perfect like society tells us we should be. See for 32 years, I spent trying to be someone I wasn't - that was a girl because that is what my family told me I was and what society expected me to be because yes I was born a girl.  But inside I struggled because that whole time I always felt that I was a boy.  The pressure from what I should be led me to some very dark places in life and with two suicide attempts because I always felt that I was broken, a freak.  But once I discover that I could live an authentic life and be "Michael aka Mike" that feel slowly disappeared. Not that is just one example of me feeling like I was broken - I've got plenty more and I do mean plenty more, it's just the one I chose to share with you all!
