he knows that if he didn’t have a mask covering his face, people would definitely bombard him. he’s not particularly well liked at club vue. all the undercover gang meetings that go on here weren’t always on his side. the vipers met here too, and he knows that they don’t like him in the least. and oh, if anybody from AURA was here too...truth be told, he would be quite anxious if it weren’t for the black rose mask covering his features at the moment. 

of course, when someone places their hand on his shoulder, jaehwa still admittedly is a bit jumpy, turning around as he clenches his fists instinctively- he’s ready to fight if needed. but the person doesn’t seem to be hostile, and...does he recognize them? “ ...sorry, you frightened me. ”

Yeon once read somewhere that parties were made so people could either be who they aren’t or work on becoming who they want to be. But he really didn’t want to read too much into it. He was here almost entirely for one reason, business. He was ready to start making big moves and to do that he needed a few things, More bodies, and More connections. Dressed in a deep purple shirt and pants with suspenders, black leather shoes, and a gold cape that hung down to his knees, he also adorned a purple half mask with a bright golden crown varnishing the top. He might be wearing a mask but he certainly wasn’t trying to hide who he was. 

Surveying the party and admiring the lavishly dressed his fingers started to get itchy and he muttered to himself “Lots of deep pockets tonight, wish I had somewhere to put all of it”.A light shake of his head and he headed towards the bar, not exactly to drink but because he figured that would be where people were more...openly chatty. He always told himself that the easiest answers to get were to questions you didn’t ask. He shrugged to himself and tried to relax some,”This is a party after all, a little fun never hurt anybody”.

yohan is well aware that the whole point of a masquerade was to hide your face- he wasn’t stupid. but...every single mask he had tried either was too uncomfortable, didn’t look good on him or obstructed his vision so badly that he could barely see, which was an issue- he needed to be able to read people’s lips clearly. this town could tear you down if you weren’t careful and he didn’t want to take that risk. so...he had settled for just wearing a face mask over his mouth, a cute little bear faced logo on the front. 

it takes him a minute to realize there’s a person walking towards him- he sees them out of the corner of his eye, giving him a questioning look before pointing at his mask, which he laughs, pulling out his phone. ‘It’s cute.’ he types before showing the message to them- he wasn’t always comfortable with speaking right off the bat, especially to new people, but he had no issue with socializing.

indents can be felt as fingertips slip beneath the abrasive contour of the mask, rubbing at the place along his cheek that had been irritated by the cheaply cut plastic. daeil has never been to a masquerade, not properly. once, in his second year of high school, there had been something similar... but he had never actually put the effort into wearing one. 

with his recent arrival in the area, he hadn’t had time to prepare, either. the material covering the upper portion of his features is plain and solid black— a sudden, bargain buy. he can’t be bothered to care for the opinions of others, though, sipping idly at the drink within his hand as he rests perched against the bar. the beverage is cold and refreshing, offering relief from the heated environment within the club. 

despite having never been to an event like this, he’s certainly impressed. maybe he could afford to go to things like this more often?

blindly, he reaches to place the now empty glass upon the surface of the bar, but there’s a miscalculation in the distance and it falls to the floor, immediately shattering at the side of a foot. there’s a start that contorts his features, though little of it is seen beneath the thing upon his face. “shit—”, comes the curse, as quick as the incident. the hand that held the drink flies to cover his mouth, and he’s already scrambling for napkins or a rag, anything. “i’m sorry.”

what a mess. maybe he won’t go to things like this more often.

@chverins It was the end of the night at Club Aura, meaning it was about three in the morning. The other employees are packing up their things and going home, but Minsung has swiped a half empty bottle of whiskey from the bar and is looking for someone to share it with, not quite ready to return home himself. Spotting a potential companions, he waves his free hand cheerfully at her. “Auntie Chae!” He calls out as he approaches her. “How about you, me and this bottle of Jack have a nice little chat, hm? It’s been ages...” he gently raises and shakes the bottle in his hand, the dark amber liquid sloshing invitingly again the glass surrounding it. “What do you think, hon?”

jangmi had finished her shift for the night and she was now chilling on one of the many couches that were placed around the club. despite being tired after having danced for a bunch of old but wealthy men who were giving her good tips, the woman didn’t feel like going home just yet. the atmosphere was filled with excitement and there were no hints of fear, meaning that no one had spotted any gang members around. the brunette had put on some clothes now, wearing a black bralette and a leather mini skirt. with a drink in her hand, jangmi motioned the person in front of her to join her on the sofa. “c’mere!”
