Sri Lankan crisis 'man-made problem, warning signs ignored': Expert
The ongoing crisis in Sri Lanka, which is the worst in the country's history, is a man-made problem while warning signs visible for a year were ignored, said Professor Mick Moore, a highly acclaimed political economist and professorial fellow at the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex.
In an interview with Amsterdam based think tank European Foundation for South Asian Studies (EFSAS) last week, Moore said the Sri Lankan economic crisis is almost entirely caused by government decisions that were extremely unwise.
Moore in the interview analysed the prevailing political and economic situation in Sri Lanka and the possible trajectories in the coming months.
Professor Moore suggested that the current economic conditions in Sri Lanka translate into the country's worst economic crisis in recorded history and that this crisis, although exacerbated by falling tourism revenues due to COVID-19 travel restrictions and rising food and fuel prices, was caused almost entirely by unwise policy decisions made by the Rajapaksa administration.
1985. A Time of Changes
is the debut album by band Blitzkrieg,
This album came out when Brian Ross decided to reform Blitzkrieg and record the album they wanted to record before their split-up in 1981. After the original split of Blitzkrieg, Brian Ross sang with Avenger, Satan and Lonewolf. "Pull the Trigger" is in fact a Satan song that wasn't featured on their first album Court in the Act. Ross recorded it with Satan, and it appeared on an earlier demo, Into the Fire. Satan guitarist Russ Tippins makes a guest appearance on the song.
Blitzkrieg was formed in October 1980 after signing a record deal with Neat Records, a label that was signing many of the bands involved with the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement.
The Buried Alive singel(1981) is one of the best ever cut with the infomus "Blitzkrieg" on the B-Side made famouse my Metallica. "Blitzkrieg" also is on A Time Of Changes re recorded and Blitz 01 as a demo.
this is great album. is probly one of the best NWOBHM albums, Highly recommended for all NWOBHM and Heavy Metal lovers, a true piece of history.

1985. Killer Elite
is a second album by band Avenger. this is the last album before the band splitting up, untly released another album in 2014.
the group broke up, blaming poor record label support preventing the band exploiting their potential in America. Ian Swift joining Atomkraft and Gary later joining Blitzkrieg.
Avenger were one of those groups who came out by the early-80’s, that glorious time for British music, Just an excellent album – it’s an unstoppable metal assault with a tonne of attitude and energy.
