Science always has the answer #christmas came early #reindeer be flyin’ #jingle balls #slay bells #I can do this all night
Well played, McDonald’s. Well played.
The best thing I have ever gotten from McDonalds was this kitty. Meet Mickey D. Our chance meeting occurred when I had a random urge for chicken nuggets. It was dark outside and wet from a hard storm. Still I decided I was going to treat myself. I went with my nine year old sister and since I have a terrible fear of drive throughs (ridiculous I know but I'm scared I'll scrape my car) we get out to go inside. I suddenly see a small frantic fluffy creature dodging the drive through cars. At first I think it's a squirrel but when it spots my sister it darts straight to her. She was small and skinny, I honestly thought she was still a kitten but what was endearing about her was her thick bushy tail. She had been trying to follow other people but the last man had kicked her and the others only ignored her. You could see in her eyes she had so much fear and we quickly discovered this cat couldn't meow. She could only open her mouth but no sound came out. Confused on what to do I told my sister to scoop up the purring kitty and sit on the picnic tables at the front of the building. Still watching my sis and the little kitty I order our food and tell them about the cat. The cashier replies "We're well aware there's a cat. She was dumped out a car window three days ago. We left her a mcfish though." I asked if they were going to help her and she shrugged saying the cat was on her own. We have a huge humane society less than a mile down the road. When I went outside this cat was belly up purring in my sister's lap. She honestly looked like she was about to go to sleep. I found the nasty moldy Mcfish they had left her that still had the cheese slathered on it. She had been so hungry there were bite marks from where she had given up and eaten some of the greasy filet. I knew I could not leave this poor animal behind even though I already had other rescues at home. But Mickey was never a problem. She was never violent and showed extreme playfulness to my other cat who has internal health conditions (at the time he was recovering from being catheterized). Mickey became the most affectionate cat I've ever had. She always sits on someone's lap and never asks to go outside. She had old wounds I assume from fights in her early life. Turns out Mickey was an adult and was small because of malnutrition. Now she has been with us for six months and is fully vaccinated/spayed and laying upside down on my sister's lap. An animal as precious and sweet as her was just thrown away. That's why I will always rescue. Sorry for the random long post I just wanted to tell her story :)
