Assorted Druzy Hair Pins
Inspired?
We strive to live a life inspired! And throughout our jewelry design career, we have garnered so much of that inspiration from New York City.
We had a fun idea. Why not share some of that inspiration? Druzy is our signature medium and a stone said to strengthen the spirit. We created these little cards and tied them to the stones.
Then Seth & I headed to NYC to scatter druzy throughout the city.
We wanted to start a conversation about inspiration.
What gets you inspired?
How can we share inspiration?
And, most importantly, can you imagine what the world might be like if we all lived a little more inspired?
Watch what happens!
Share Stories. Share Hope.
Every October I like to support Breast Cancer Awareness in some way. Last year it hit close to home for one of our team members, Candice. I'll let her tell you the story. Read on to hear why we are partnering with Pink Ribbon Story Foundation.

I remember the words of my best friend’s text like it was yesterday. It read: “It’s f***ing cancer.”
Lump. Chemotherapy. Mastectomy. Survival rate. All of these and more, used to be mere words. Terms heard on the news, and in passing. Then somehow, these horrible words became a part of our vernacular.
After the word cancer, everything takes on a new weight and dimension. Sometimes, entire definitions are rewritten.
Friendship. Strength. Life. Joy. Grace. Gratitude. All of these and more are words that have been redefined. They are louder, more important and they beg to be used more often.
That is why I am so happy to be able to partner with Pink Ribbon Story Foundation, an organization committed to documenting and sharing the stories of those affected by breast cancer. Through video, social media and mentoring, PRSF connects the newly diagnosed to survivors, offering knowledge and hope for the road ahead.
While my friend fought, her loved ones choked out the words that we are supposed to say, “I love you, everything will be all right.” But the women of PRSF told her their words and their stories. They gave her real hope that it could all be ok. They connected her to women who truly knew what she was going through, and later they gave her a forum to tell her own story of survival!
The shared narrative is so very important. I believe that sharing these stories also shares hope.
Through the month of October, Mickey Lynn Jewelry is giving 15% of all sales to Pink Ribbon Story Foundation. Learn more > HERE
Love & Inspiration in NYC
(View from the Empire State Building- Our first trip to NYC together)
I’ve loved New York City since I was a little girl. Growing up in Alabama, New York seemed like another world. I’d see images of the NYC skyline and this feeling of excitement would spread over me.
In the years to come, I was able to visit New York from time to time with girlfriends or for work. But, I’ll never forget the first time Seth and I ventured to New York together. Watching this Midwest born and bred man walk around the streets in utter awe of the city struck something inside of me. Seeing the city with Seth was like seeing it for the first time. I felt that childlike excitement again, but this time it was accompanied by a very adult sense of contentment. Roaming the streets together, I realized that I never wanted to stop seeing the world through his eyes.

As our relationship grew, and later our jewelry business, we began visiting New York at least 3 to 4 times a year. From jewelry trade-shows, to buying stones, or just roaming around the city soaking up inspiration, New York City has become like a second home.
(Seth & I at one of our first NYC trade shows)
Always traveling, and seeking inspiration in new destinations, we wanted to create a line of jewelry that pays tribute to the mystery, beauty and excitement of our first destination: New York City.
I hope you’ll love our new fall line as much as we do!
Hitting the Hamptons
I was super excited and rather honored when Everything But Water asked us to be part of their exclusive designer trunk show series in The Hamptons. Being the travel junkies that we are, our immediate answer was: YES! So we packed our suitcases full of druzy jewelry and headed north.
Everything But Water has a gorgeous brand new store in East Hampton!
I love having the opportunity to style my pieces with other amazing designs. We focused on long gemstone layering necklaces, heishi necklaces, beaded druzy bracelets, and a dash of our new Roman glass collection.
And of course, this beauty, the signature druzy necklace!
After a successful trunk show, it was time to explore! Our friend Megan came down from NYC to join us for some shopping, paddle boarding, and wondering around gawking at beauty.
Obviously, we worked up an appetite for a good meal, or few.
J'adore The Hamptons! We will be back again. Thanks to Everything But Water, and to all our loyal customers and fans for allowing us to mix business with pleasure!
Cheers!

I spent some time in Spain recently and was blown away by the la Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain. Here, I've imagined my druzy hair pin paying its own visit! Traveling is my greatest love, besides designing druzy jewelry, of course! Snapped a cool travel pic? Share it with me & I'll deck it out with a druzy too!

The Perfect Pairing
Recently, I was working on a piece for my Spring/Summer line, a bracelet created with a druzy stone and a silk cord, when it occurred to me: one of my favorite parts of making jewelry is creating the perfect pairing. I get to play match maker all day: “Oh, you’re a gorgeous druzy, you would play so well with this lovely ribbon, and you pretty piece of moonstone, you should totally meet this gemstone!”
I really love pairing the unexpected, things that don’t seem like they should go together, but somehow they work perfectly! If you know me, you know that I relate almost everything to food and drink! For dessert, I crave dark chocolate & fleur de sel.
A friend talked me into trying a pickleback, whiskey with a side of pickle juice! Sounds crazy, but so delish!
These flavor combinations have been around for a minute, but when I first heard of them they seemed quite strange. Now I can’t imagine whiskey without pickle juice, and chocolate just seems sad without sea salt.
My love for unexpected combinations carries over into my clothing choices too. I never like to look too “done” I love pairing a hot skirt with a vintage T- shirt, or the perfect tailored jacket with worn boyfriend jeans and my favorite heels.
I love the way blogger Zina at Fashionvibe puts these pieces together!
When I think about it, these unexpected, yet perfect pairings are always showing up in my life. I started out my career as a systems engineer for a fortune 500 company, and now here I am designing jewelry. Seems like an odd combination, but I truly believe each career served and informed the other.
And take my partner, Seth and I. We are opposites in so many ways. He’s burning up when I am freezing; we have literally had arguments about the thermostat! He’s super outgoing, where I tend to be a bit more reserved. He’s the dreamer and I am definitely the realist, sometimes I have to drag his kite tail back down to earth! But, here we are, with a business and a life together that is thriving!
Unexpected, but wonderfully suited for each other, sometimes it really just takes the perfect pair!
What about you guys? Have any unusual/wonderful combinations you can’t get enough of?
Cheers!
