My Family Feud Experience.
Yall. I had THE BEST EXPERIENCE on being a first-time audience member for a family game show. Despite the long wait, the way Family Feud is set up is great and pretty smooth. Everyone on the staff was nice, had a sense of humor, and communicated about what was happening and where you would need to go. As I said, the wait to be seated was long, and since the tickets are free, it's a first come, first served basis, unless you had a priority ticket. && electronics are a big no no, which I ended up liking, because 1) you got to meet the people around you, and 2) the show made you not even think about your phone, you were too engaged in the show, the jokes, and the energy. STEVE HARVEY IS AMAZING! That man, is definitely funny. During commercial breaks and of course during the tapings, he stayed making jokes. It was basically a mini comedy show as well! The feuding families were fun. The whole atmosphere was fun. That was their main thing, the crew wanted you to have fun, to make noise, and to have a fantastic time. Today must have been my lucky day, because not only did I randomly get invited to go this morning, but they were also taping two shows; #199 && #200; the 17th season's finale. They had contests for Steve's cue cards && threw candy everywhere in the audience. The icing on the cake, was after the season finale was finished being taped, and Steve gave us a mini speech at the end. He spoke on how every single soul has a God given gift, and every single one of us are standing on the Cliff of Life, watching others soar and fly high, wondering how we can get there ourselves. The trick is to jump. We have to take that leap of faith. We stand on the cliff, in our safe zones, not realizing our parachute is our gift, and although we may get scrapped on a few rocks, although we may seem to fly downward, God will always put the wind we need under us, if we just leap. We will never get anywhere if we don't. We will never fly, if we don't try & use the gifts we were given to our advantage. His words touched everyone, you could feel it on the set. I'm so glad I went, because I almost didn't.
