Mueller’s Two-headed Snake or Muller's Snake (Micrelaps muelleri), family Micrelapidae, Lebanon

Mildly venomous, rear-fanged.

The snakes in this family used to be in the family Atractaspididae, but were put into their own family in 2023.

The common name comes from the habit (of some snakes in this family) of holding up the tail in a position that makes it look like the its head, as a defensive posture.
