Beautiful Dancing Frogs (Micrixalus adonis), family Micrixalidae, endemic to the western Ghats of India
Males use a waving display of the hind feet to attract females. They live and breed near noisy running streams. Their calls cannot be heard well over the sound of the rushing water, so visual displays work better than typical frog calls.
This species was first described in 2014.
