One of my favorite micro tropes is when a character is facing a creature that is supposed to invoke their inner desires and the creature turns into the other other character that they "hate" or "can't stand" in enemies to lovers case or into their friend that they've always had a crush on but never wanted to admit in friends to lovers case. It just makes me giggle and kick my feet every time.
