Glenn Close's reaction to her best actress win for #TheWife
Best Actress Golden Globe winner Glenn Close shows look of SURPRISE!!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAo_UICzDlg
Surprise is the FASTEST body language MICRO-EXPRESSION and occurs in a FRACTION of a second.
Surprise then transitions into another emotion such as happiness, fear, or anger.
Yes, Glenn Close is genuinely surprised that she won.
Notice, she displayed wide-opened mouth and eyes (with whites exposed).
However, Glenn elongates her reaction and savors the winning moment by holding her "SURPRISE" body language expression for shock and emphasis!!
From Head to Toes, the BODY Always Shows the Truth!
My dash dig a thing
Welcome to my blog
This blog is to explain and show my research throughout my photography and video exploration and various experiments, while focusing mainly on micro expressions, and body languages. You see there is a large connect between the unconscious mind and micro expressions, micro expressions are unstoppable, they are a provoked response to something said or showed from a opposing person.
Some micro expressions are a fraction of a second long, for instance the surprised facial expression has noticeable features, i.e.; -Raised Eyebrows -Widened eyes and eye lids -Slightly agape mouth (On some peoples faces their mouths are more so agape to make a more shocked expression)
But there are also a lot more subtle micro expressions, which i will research further into my practice.
You will see videos of myself and of various other people that have expressed their own stories. For their safety and under their consent i have been able to publish these videos.
I will also record myself telling my own story and possibly recording myself watching certain tv programs or films to gage a reaction out of myself.
My photography goes towards the more landscape views. The idea of loneliness in day to day world, such as a bus or train station. The photography will hopefully sit alongside my video works, and hopefully you will see my progression through my video and photography works.
Enjoy!

Detecting Micro-expressions

Please give attribution to Katherine Chernick Fauvre…. the 6 is showing multiple expressions…you had to be there so to speak. There are other examples of the expressions on our Enneagram Explorations Fan Page on Facebook. Thanks
I believe this is in reference to this post on the micro-expressions of the types. In other news, THE FAUVRES HAVE SEEN MY BLOG!!!!
Dont get me wrong, micro-expressions are intriguing and all but I just dont find them that important. A lot of people seem to think that micro-expressions automatically tell you when someone is lying? What? Micro-expression aren't even conscious, right? Or they could just be any form of emotion that someone is trying to conceal. (Anxiety? Anger? Blahblahblah?)
I think when you're trying to understand someone you have to look at the bigger picture. It's like opening up a book to a random page and reading the first sentence you see. Like, wtf? You're not going to understand what's going on unless you read the text that surrounds it. And even then, you're missing a huge part of the story. You dont know the beginning or the events that led up to that point. All you have is what's in front of you.
So it would be foolish to focus on one sentence, right? It would be foolish to focus on one small detail.
Also, another thing that irritates me is how people set out to find "liars" with body language or micro-expressions. If you look for a liar, you're going to find one. When I observe, I try to be as objective and detached as possible but sometimes I even catch myself projecting. (Usually, when I'm reviewing it in my head and suddenly I'm like, "Shit! That was just me, wasn't it?" And ugh that's annoying because then I have to throw those observations in the trash. ugh)
Just make sure you're seeing the person and not just seeing what you want to see.
