The winner
Eran Blacher of the Department of Neurology at Stanford University, USA, is the recipient of the 2021 NOSTER & Science Microbiome Prize “for his work in exploring the relationship between the microorganisms that live inside us and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (AD) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)”.
