Things to Avoid Before Your Eyebrow Microblading Session
There are a few things you need to know in order to get the best results from your Eyebrow Microblading session. Just as you would take care of your brows after the procedure, you also need to properly prep them before your session. Your skin needs to be in good condition to proceed with the treatment in order for the pigment to last and to avoid complications. Here are a few things you need to take in mind:
Do not pluck or wax your eyebrows atleast a week before your session. In order for your beauty therapist to create the best shape that works for your face, your current eyebrow shape will be examined and measured.
Refrain from exfoliating your skin atleast 3 days prior. Make sure your face has not gone through any facial or skin treatment as this makes your skin sensitive and prone to irritation. It is important to keep your skin as insensitive as much as possible to limit bleeding.
Avoid using Vitamin A/Retinol products for a week before your session. These products can simply interfere with the results of the Microblading treatment.
In order to avoid excessive bleeding during the treatment, do not take Fish Oil or Vitamin E atleast a week prior as these products act as blood thinners.
Refrain from sun bathing a week prior to avoid sunburn and any redness on your face. Avoid Botox and other cosmetic injections at least 2 weeks before your Eyebrow Microblading session.
Before your treatment, you need to avoid too much sweating so do not go to the gym and work out. Sweat leaves oils on your skin which creates a barrier and pushes the pigment out. Drinking alcohol before your treatment can also cause excessive bleeding, so it’s best to avoid drinking it, as well as ibuprophin and aspirin.
The goal is to for your skin to be at its healthy normal state before your Eyebrow Microblading treatment. These tips will help do just that to achieve the best results and to help the pigments last. For other tips pre-session, feel free to consult Talene Hanna here. She offers a free consultation and would be happy to answer your questions about the treatment.
Benefits of Eyebrow Microblading
One of the most popular trends in semi-permanent makeup in recent years is Eyebrow Microblading. A lot of women have been making use of this method to achieve full brows, ditching the eyebrow pencils and time spent drawing on their eyebrows.
But what exactly is Microblading? Also known as eyebrow feathering, microblading is the process of cutting small, hair-like strokes into the skin, using a hand tool with a special flex head of needles attached. This technique replicates your natural hair stroke pattern. It is used to fill in gaps and/or change the shape of your eyebrows.
In this blog post, we talk about the benefits of eyebrow microblading.
It will give you fuller and natural looking brows.
The best thing about microblading is that it gives you a natural, full brow look every day. There is no need for you to go through the effort of drawing in or drawing on your brows, filling in gaps, and trying to shape them. An expert beauty therapist will do that for you, making sure that your brows fit your face shape and enhance your features.
It helps you save time in the morning.
We all know that make up takes a lot of time especially when doing our eyebrows. If it’s necessary for you to put on make up for work, Eyebrow Microblading can definitely help you save so much time from filling in your brows and shaping them. Just a bit of foundation, lipstick, and you’re all set!
It is semi-permanent and can last up to one year.
Microblading is a good investment since it can last up to one year. After that your brows may fade and become less defined. But a simple retouch will easily revive them. However, it may also depend on the person’s skin type. Oilier skin types usually need their touch up in 6-8 months.
