[Dorm 4 - Starter]
The fast-food was normal, at least.
Miu still felt lingering embarrassment about the fit she had pitched when she was told she couldn’t go home. But, they had explained that it was necessary. They also said something like “time won’t pass back home,” and “you can still visit;”
...and finally, had delivered an exasperated “Miu, please, your sister will be fine, so stop trying to lift me up by my collar. You’re shorter than me...”
Miu had complied.
Life had always been difficult, and this wasn’t the first time she was taking orders without really knowing the details. Irritating, but what could she do about it?
They had suggested she “choose a room at Dorm 4,” but she was hungry - being ripped from time did that..if fiction were true, anyway, which it was at this rate - and she had a pocket full of food vouchers. A few were eligible at McDonald's, so she had grabbed some from the mall on the way to the dorm.
And here she was. Eating McDonald's, in an unfamiliar living room. In space. Normal.
This was working out well enough, until the creaking of the front door caught her attention and someone entered the dorm.
“Um. H..hey,” she greeted from the couch. Keeping quiet would be more awkward than speaking up, but as usual she was wordless. What would Sakura do in this situation? Or Jun? They were never shy.
After a brief stare-down, Miu looked at the food and back up towards the entrant. Slowly, she held out her container of fries.
“Do you want one?”
