me too and im too embarrassed to buy frm them because they are so pricey so i’d probably go in and buy 1 lipstick and leave they scare me more than an interrogator

in high school i Never wore makeup but if i did one of my close friends would pointedly ask ‘are you wearing … makeup?? why?’ and it really put me off it? like without fail i’d feel ashamed that i was wearing it and like i wasn’t meant to wear it

i know i absolutely hate it because it feels like what they’re trying to say is it’s not something for you and there are some ways where the “are you wearing make up?” question is fine for instance when it’s followed by a compliment or if someone sees a mistake that you need to touch up on but the whole “why?” and the smugness of it makes it feel wrong and is def off-putting especially when its asked by people you surround yourself in/hold dearly which is always the common case and that’s why it sucks and makes ppl like u and me feel bad for wearing it
