So today I was talking with a friend and we ended up sharing our adventures in Micropolix (some sort of city where kids are supposed to learn about the grown-ups' world while having fun). She told me that she went to this school for flying planes, wishing to "become" a plane pilot, but there she was told that she couldn't be a pilot because she was a girl and only boys could be pilots, she was a girl and had to be a flight assistant This made me really angry, not only for sexualizing jobs like that, but also because that's a place for children around 12 and that's the kind of stuff they learnt: boys are pilots, girls are flight assistants
