Microsoft Research Asia has developed the capability of direct translation from literary Chinese to modern Chinese in the Microsoft Translator. The feature will be further expanded to translate literary Chinese into 90 different languages and dialects in the Microsoft Translator App. This capability is integrated with Microsoft Translator App, Azure Cognitive Services Translator and other products supported by Microsoft Translator Services.
