Who: Clair Root & Belle
When: A week after Clair had the meeting with Hook
Where: The Library
Warnings: None
Ever since she walked out of the principal's office with her head high she had been trying to find something she was good at. Not just a job for her to get money, Clair wanted a job she could love. Painting was out of the question because she wasn't really stupid enough to believe that a job as a painter could grant her money to leave her mother's house.
Being good at something was another problem. Everything Clair had learned from this curse was how to cook and she wouldn't even be able to cook for Granny's because she wasn't even that good. In order for her to become good at something she would have to read about whatever it was and learn as much as she could. Walking to the library she thought about what area of knowledge she would be interest in exploring at this moment. Hard question...
After entering the place she searched for books. All they had were boks so her search wasn't very useful, she searched for books on administration. This kind of book would be able to help her to get an interesting job which would pay well. Problem was that she didn't like math. Next were books on laws, she could always attend to law school. There was one book which got her attention, a book on art. If only there was an art gallery in town, she'd feel complete. By accident she dropped the law book while looking at the art one. "Sorry." She said to the librarian who just showed up in her sight after the book fell.

Character Name: Belle French
Age: 31
Occupation: Librarian
Source Material: Beauty and the Beast, OUAT,
Faceclaim: Emilie de Ravin
Three Facts:
Is very intelligent and uses it to her advantage. Being an avid reader of anything she can get her hands on, Belle has an extensive amount of knowledge on several subjects.
She's very perceptive of not just the world around her, but people too. She can tell if someone is trying to trick her or if they really mean well. She has a way of seeing people's true sides.
The daughter of King Maurice, Belle was to be wed to Prince Gaston but had her fate changed when she agreed to serve Rumpelstiltskin. Before this, she had always been a quiet girl who did as she was told and dreamed of adventure and bravery.
Special Skills and Abilities: Not so much a special skill or ability, but Belle has a way of seeing people's true colors. She often looks past a person's exterior and sees who they truly are, which is why she is in love with a man that most would call a beast.
Wanted Characters and Storylines: Jefferson, Red, Mulan, Rumpelstiltskin, Hook, Ariel
I would like to see Belle take on a role where she's able to help others and realize her true potential. I want her to forge close friendships with Red, Mulan and Ariel, I want her to see the true side of Hook and examine his relationship with Rumpel and I want to see how the relationship between Jefferson and Belle develops. Ideally, I'd love her to interact with everyone.
Writing Sample:
The library always had an unchanging, familiar feel to Belle. No matter what happened, the fiction books were always in the fiction section, the biographies in the biographies, and the dewey decimal system never failed her.
This constant comfort was juxtaposed to the outside world, where magic was struggling to coincide with humans, where people would backstab you over something trivial like gaining power.
When she was younger, Belle had been content to stay inside her little bubble of knowledge for fear of doing something wrong. She was only a girl. She had no special skills or magical abilities. What did she have to offer? She had read countless books, but that meant nothing in the face of real world dynamics.
So much had changed since then though. Her choice to serve Rumpel all those years ago had been her first step towards being independent. That one defiant decision had changed her world, causing her to be more independent and firm in her decisions. Time with Rumpel had shown her that she would need to stand up for herself, that she had the courage to make her own decisions, and her time with Mulan had reinforced that belief. She could stand on her own and be the heroine she had read about in stories.
But even heroines needed breaks from reality. That was when you would find Belle secluded in her library, carefully leafing through books, eyes scanning page after page of information. It was, by far, the best way to relax.
Anything Else? I was referred here by Jefferson-mun. I played Belle at Wickedest Desires but the way their group was set up didn't really work with me. It felt a bit too controlling.
