We started by setting up a Rode NT2-a with the bi-directional pattern selected and the side of the mic pointing towards the guitar. We then set up an Audio Technica Perception 170 above the Rode and pointing directly at the guitar. Initially we were going to split the two sides of the Rode in Logic by creating two tracks, both with the same input and panning them hard left and right. However, Logic would not allow two tracks with the same input to be record enabled at the same time so instead we had to record onto one track and then duplicate this afterwards.
