Does anyone else not high functioning with low support needs™ have different support need specifiers than your level on your official diagnosis? Here's a description of severity levels, yes you have to read all of this for the rest of the post to make sense sorry, note the severity specifiers
Relevant part here is the first and last paragraph
Here is my diagnosis, note the severity specifiers, possibly note the mommy issues and burntout gifted kid diagnosis, not relevant, just funny
Like, I've felt like I was closer to level 2 support needs (without my significant social support and help I would Actually Die cause I need help with transportation and shopping, can't shower 90% of the time, stuff like that) despite the fact that I was told I would be considered an Aspie if I was diagnosed prior to the DSM 5.. Finally looking closely at my diagnosis, I am literally diagnosed with level 2 support needs! I feel like there really is an issue with doctors not wanting to diagnose you with anything beyond level 1 if you're smart/capable of interest related complex activities (I can analyze malware on my computer and learn Finnish myself even though I can't go shopping by myself) even if you have really obvious issues with basic life stuff... Like wdym I have level 1 support needs except every area I could need support in I have level 2 support needs 😭
