youre driving down the backroads. you pass a road and get confused as you swear you drove by the same road a minute ago. you keep going and the same thing happens again only with a different road.

its a friday night and its humid and warm. your town highschool is hosting a game. you can hear their screams while chanting to music and you wonder if its even a game at all.

loud popping sounds can be heard in the distance. you wonder if it was fireworks or someone shooting a gun. it is nowhere near a holiday for fireworks to be set off. the sounds come again and you figured theyre hunting. but then you remember its not the season to hunt. you start sweating.

youre in school. you bump into someone whom youve never seen before. they apologize and say your name. you get confused as to how they know who you are. of course they know who you are, everyone knows who you are.

the weatherman says a big snowstorm is headed youre way. you hope they close school tomorrow. you go to bed in high hopes and wake up to 3ft of snow. you have a voicemail from the principle. all it says is “good luck”

you go to Meijer to stock up on food. it is sunny out when you go in, but by the time you walk out its already dark and its snowing. time does not exist in Meijer. it is also May. 

“when hell freezes over” is what they say. you never understood what they meant by this. Hell freezes over every year.
