Just finished reading Midnight Crossroads, the first in a 3 book series and the basis for the tv show Midnight, Texas.
I don't usually recommend books but y'all gotta read this.
It's got witches, married gay angels, psychics, assassins, vampires, were-creatures, a sassy talking cat, and a few normal (but still badass) humans.
There's a crap ton of action/mystery. And the only bad guys (in a town full of the supernatural) who get no remorse are Nazis.
“Help!” yelled Manfred, which was probably the most useful thing he could have done. He had no idea who might hear him in Midnight, but he had to try. To his astonishment, a light came on as the back door of Gas N Go flew open, and Creek Lovell charged out swinging a baseball bat.

“Not today, bird,” he said, and the grackle flew away to tell its comrades. Most people hated grackles, but Bobo had enjoyed them since he’d moved to Texas. They seemed to tell each other everything.
Actually, he felt pretty badass. One of the ladies with him could freeze you, and one could defend him with weapons.
