Rowan fully intends to go to the bar by the train lines where he’s handed whiskey without a word and someone usually tracks him down for a fight. He’ll feel guilty about the whiskey later when he sees Zane flinch away from him, but he’ll just add that to the guilt he’s already feeling. Guilt at being a liability who couldn’t go with Cas. Who couldn’t be trusted to watch his best friend’s back.
Rowan doesn’t understand why, instead of turning left and heading across Eden, he turns right onto a quiet, perfect suburban street. Late blossoms fall from the trees that arch over the road and the leaves are just beginning to turn yellow. He can easily picture what this street would look like later in the fall as families put up Halloween decorations, leaves raked into perfect piles, children on bicycles skidding across the footpaths as their parents walk behind. A perfect suburban image Rowan has no memories of himself.
Rowan parks out the front of a little shop, the streetlight showing off the sign out front as "The Faerie Shoppe". Rowan had no idea what's brought him here, until he looks across at the blood soaked passenger seat. He wants comfort and he doesn't want to seek it in a bottle or a fist, he wants it from a man who flirts with him and offers him flowers.
Rowan climbs out of his car and knocks on the door. It occurs to him that the apartment above the shop mightn't even be Atticus'. His parents own the shop so maybe they live there. It also occurs to him that it's 3am and there probably isn't anyone awake. Rowan is right about to turn around and leave when the door opens.
Atticus, half asleep and half naked, is a beautiful sight. Rowan almost steps forward and runs his hands over Atticus then and there. Atticus is drinking a juice box, but Rowan dismisses that fact for now. Same with the devices attached to Atticus' stomach and arm.
Rowan swallows, taking a long moment to finish looking over Atticus. "Sorry. This is probably really odd." Rowan says. "Cas got himself almost killed again and I just... I needed..." He can't say what he needs. He's not sure he knows. "Can you show me that Rowan tree, maybe?"

Gotham nights can be hot- hot enough to keep Colin awake. That is, until Damian stops by and offers momentary relief.
The Account of the Night Time Visitor
Last Wednesday during the day my parents and my cousin and her husband expressed their concerns about some teens in the campground. Since a few of them were walking around with open beers and a hatchet. As it turns out they were going from empty campsite to empty campsite looking for unburned fire wood. Not the worst thing in the world seeing as we've done the same thing. Pilfering our neighbours leftover firewood after they've packed up and left it behind.
